i thought it was weak how both dudes used the caitlyn jenner diss line, which to me is corny to begin with and really not clever at all. the rest of the song was ok. these dudes sound waaaay too much like crooked i clones for me to get into their music (mainly the first and last dude). i like crook, not dudes who try to sound like him. its one thing to be related to dude and have a similiar voice, but the style too? just cuz theres blood relation doesn't excuse unoriginality. i really heard alot of filler bars in between avarage diss lines, some clever word play here and there. one thing i agree with funk volume on, these dudes whole double time style does disguise alot of mediocrity lyircally IMO. i dont like hopsin's music at all btw but he's an 818 dude so i respect his hustle.

Half a meal was a great diss in my opinion, but this one....not so much. Filler bars and old punchlines which were taken from previous releases and slightly altered. Sure, I can see the effect they were going for with the quick reply, but that's not what is going to win them the challenge.
Now, Funk volume's response....that was weak. Generic lines that could have been aimed at anyone if you switched all the namedrops for another ones. Dizzy was alright, but barely said anything that is even remotely quotable or you want to hear again. Benton was trash and Hopsin fell off hard a long time ago, way before Pound Syndrome, when he let his ego get to his head.
For me Funk Volume can do whatever and they still stand no chance against Shoegang. The sad thing is unless a real stage battle with judges ensues out of this, Horseshoe won't benefit anything from the situation because Funk Volume have way more supporters that just click on HSG diss tracks and dislike like morons without even listening and that just defeats the whole purpose

Agreed. Both were nice, but Horseshoe Gang got the better of the whole exchange, IMO. Especially on this second track. I actually like a lot of Hopsin's music. Maybe I'm the only one on here. Don't know, don't care. But I'm not sure I see the wisdom in going at the Horseshoe Gang. At best, it's an uphill battle.
