It was not a beef, just a misunderstanding
-
...Pac never dissed cube. In fact, the 1st thing he said was "I dig ice cube, I looked up to him." All he said was he didn't like the fact that cube started doing the whole war against the east shit, and that's true cuz although cube has always rep'd the west, he didn't start warring against the east until AFTER pac was going after bad boy and them.....which is true.

^
No it ain't, Westside slaughterhouse came out before pac started dissin all em.
-
But that song was more just jabbing at Common and talking the usual street bravado, not so much standing up for the west coast. If that counts, then CMW did it before WSC did with Who's Fucking Who.
-
Bro theres shots at the east coast thru out that whole song what are u talkin about?
Cube dissed the east coast before Pac did, that's what this topic is about.
-
Throughout the whole song? Hardly, unless you are counting the chorus. Cube threw a couple shots in the beginning, but it really wasn't anything. Just hollow indirect disses outside of the couple lines at Common.
Was a lot more on some I'm from California home of the bodybags type shit. Not saying it was bad or weak but nobody was really riding on this track.
-
Idk what point ur tryna make....cube still dissed the east coast before the source awards and while pac was locked up...cube jst thru shots at the east in general cause he didnt have any ny rappers to go hard on like pac did...but it was still a diss I doubt any ny dudes was "ok" wit westside slaughterhouse

I was always wondering about that. He makes all these videos where he talks about incidents from the perspective of somebody who is there but there usually always about information covered in magazine articles, books, and other available media. The first few I watched were about West Coast people so I thought maybe he was somebody like Doug Young who worked promotion for Ruthless and Death Row back in those days and was privy to that kind of info but then I'm listening to the New York artist stuff and he's making it seem like he was hanging out with Ja Rule and the Fugees when the 50 Cent stabbing in the Hit Factory went down or that he was traveling with G-Unit when Hot Rod supposedly got smacked by 50 and so forth. Made me wonder who this guy is where he is around all these people but I tend to notice that he's basically retelling publicly-known stories but adding the spin like he was up in the mix.

I know that dude because he does a bunch of BOXING videos. He's just a clown who thinks he has insight on everything. He claims that he has "sources" and knows everything from within lol. He's mostly known for boxing BS. BUt when I saw these Hip Hop videos and how he titles them "the truth behind...." I realized that he also likes to BS people on other topics.

Thats false because ice cube dissed the eastcoast on WC song called west up & that came out in like 1994.
-
The funny thing about all this is that Pac and Cube's issues with the east coast were very similiar.
Both talked about the lack of radio play and criticism the east had on west coast hip hop (All The Critics in NY on Bow Down)
Both talked about rappers on the east making underground mixtapes dissing the west, especially Q-Tip.
Biggest difference was Pac's beefs were more personal then Cube. If they both would have united there front back then it would have been even more so game over.
-
it never made any sense cause cube was throwing up the w 1st
then 2pac jacked that shit off him and starts using it while dissing biggie and junior mafia.
maybe if 2pac didn't keep yelling westside while dissing them it wouldn't of turned into a est vs east thing.

I love Pac, but apparently he was a hard man to please. He was mad when people didn't ride for the west, and then he was pissed off that Cube was riding for the west.
