Alright, I've got 2 nintendo trivia questions I'll bet nobody can answer (No cheating!).
1st, What decade was the company founded in? You just have to get within 10 years.
2nd, what does "Nintendo" actually mean?
Anybody? Those are about the two most basic questions about the company, and I'll bet nobody knows them.

1-60's (guess)
2-Fun!! (another guess)
ur right.... i got no fuckin idea
-
Nope, they weren't started in the 60's. It doesn't mean Fun either. (It is pretty fun though).
-
I think it was the 30s
Don't know what it means
-
as far as i remember nintendo was making a card game and shit like that before they started making video games and i think it was the 40's or 20's i forget when but thats all i know as far as what it means im not sure what it means
-
if you say nobody knows them... then how can you call them "basic" questions?
-
I think the word Nintendo means nostalgia, or some shit.

Because we're asking questions about a business, that are basic questions. When was it founded? What does the name mean? That's basic. If I asked you the middle name of the guy who worked payroll, that'd be pretty complicated.

E. Rizo had the right idea. Nintendo started in 1889 making a japanese card-game. At the time they were all made on seashells, and this guy Yamushi who started it got the bright idea to make them more standardized and made out of high-quality materials. They became the biggest playing card company in japan, and through successors, trickled down to the man who just retired as president.
Nintendo means (roughly) "Leave Luck to God"; or "At the end of the day, it is in God's hands". (It's hard to translate into english, basically the idea is that you should work as hard as you can, but you'll need god's assistance to be successful).
