Yes they were. They may have been early sessions but at one point they were all recorded during Documentary2 studio sessions.

they were for strictly promo lol hence why they were released so early on, just cuz it was recorded during the same sessions doesn't mean it was gonna make the album
"Moment Of Violence" was clearly recorded during the Compton sessions and maybe the first 2 joints on D2.5 but does that mean they were intended for Dre's album?
-
didnt game say that he recorded a few hundred songs for the doc 2?

MOST SONGS RECORDED FOR AN ALBUM DONT MAKE THE FINAL CUT..LOTTA TIMES, SONGS THAT DONT MAKE IT GET USED FOR PROMO. GENERALLY, ARTISTS ONLY PUT OUT ABOUT 25% OF THE SHIT THEY RECORD...AND EVEN LESS FOR THE TOP DOGS.

"Moment Of Violence" would have made "Compton" if it was good enough.

NOT DRE
-
back in the day?
IMO dre do the same.
with his own studio too.
-
ITS NOT AN OPINION, ITS A FACT...EVEN IN THE NWA DAYS, THEY WOULD DO ABOUT 100 TRACKS PER ALBUM. MOST DONT EVEN MAKE IT TO THE MIXING PROCESS.
-
And dre aint released one of em over 2 decades?
Dre, who loves money more than anyone?
Hard to believe.

yeah, Game knew those joints weren't album material so he was smart to release them how he did
that Migos track isn't bad but even Game himself knew that shit would fit NOWHERE on either disc
