Yeah, Marshawn had at least a few good years left though. Dude has just made a shitload of a money and was ready to hang it up and go back to Oakland where he's still really involved.

Marshawn was losing his starting job to that rookie who's name slips me at the moment anyways so maybe he just wants to retire early as a fuck you to pete carrol

He never lost the job, he was hurt most of last season. And he's been talking about retiring since after the 2013 season, wasn't a surprise at all especially given the injury.
