Anyone heard it yesterday? I saw several posts about it on the net.........
This is people what said:
THey played a new track and made some freestyles
Roscoe made a joke about Snoops shirt size........
Kurupt said he is the Nr 1 Dogg Pound Gangsta
Kurupt is now with Gail Gotti
Kurupt gave a shout out to Keita Rock

Roscoe made a joke about Snoops shirt size........
yeah Roscoe is huge ::)

I'm kinda surprised by the Keitarock thing cuz I remember him posting on Daz's forum saying how Suge needs to holla at him and that he was pissed off at him and shit like that. I guess Suge called him and they ironed shit out.
for the record, it was Keitarock who was insisting Suge to push Crooked I as the main artist instead of 2pac junior
-
I would like to know more about that Keitarock thing...
-
the new track was slap back The Death Row family was on power 106 today, they played "Slap Back" and ask people what they liked most...Calling out Names or Slap Back. Also kurupt, Crooked I, Jro, Roscoe and others spit crazy freestyles. Kurupt was the best out of everyone taking shots at Snoop and Daz.... FUCK SNOOP! FUCK BAD AZZ! DEATH ROW IS BACK!!!
-
what did he say in the freestyles? to daz and snoop.

did ne1 catch it on tape? if u did rip that shit lol.
-
I have a hard time believin Kurupt killed anyone with his
freestyles, he used to be the supreme MC on the
West (see Dogg Food CD), but lately its embarrassing to
even hear him tryin to spit... I hope he gets serious about
his rhymes again and comes back to his form of 95, but
I doubt it. Suge better stick to Crooked I, cause
he can rip mics fo real!!

here is a pic of Kurupt and Gail Gotti

From someone who sat in meetings at Death Row and knows a tad bit about the Crook thing, when my group was there Crook was always going to be the headline solo rapper of the album. Suge knew this from the get-go. He was not, I repeat he was not going to let Jevon Jones be the marquis MC for the label. He was used to just diss Suge's so-called enemies and then he was dropped from the label. Keita Rock was not instrumental in telling Suge about him in fact back during our time with the label (and we know there was so many changes, lol) Crook was the premier solo artist, ATL was the premier group, and J Valentine was the premier R&B solo artist and then he would add some other artists to the roster, but that was his plan went he got out of the pen on up to the end of the year, then orf course the remaining roster left and he added Lisa Lopez etc. etc.
But Keita Rock is definitely a shot-caller for the RIP Ryders, which I always wonder how that didn't conflict with all the bloods that just would hang in the office and studios all day every day.
BUT I THINK ANYONE WITH A BRAIN CELL KNOW THEY WOULDN'T LET CROOK GO, IF HE WAS ON THEIR LABEL. DUDE IS LYRICAL, AND THE LADIES PROBABLY FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE, AND HE'S INTELLIGENT AND GOT SKILLS, YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT WHEN TRYING TO REBUILD A LABEL.

I could be wrong, but......
Crook was signed to deathrow back when chronic 2000 dropped, when dpg 2002 dropped, when too gangsta 4 the radio dropped. He was only on 1 song of dpg 2002, and a couple on tg4tr. If he was supposed to be the headman, then why wasn't he all over those albums? Keita Rock also helped work on C-Style Presents Straight Outta Cali, which had Crook all over it. I think Keita has been trying to promote Crook for years, way before suge had even met him, he even made a vide for Way Cool. I really do think that Keita Rock was the one pushing Crook and not Suge.
Remember this is just all speculation by me.

Crook wuzn't on tha Row when khronik 2000 droPPed. I thynk he wuz styll on 19th street then. But I agree, it do sound lyke Keita wuz Pushin Crook...game rekognize game.
-
so the rollin 60s shotcaller is back on death Row?
More power to Suge............................

I'm not doubting what you sayin' doggy, but all I know from the time we were on the label to when we left, Crooked I was at the top of list to having his album drop and being groomed by my crew. Keita probably set everything in motion, I have no idea, but I can only speak from the time we were there, Suge always new he was going to drop Crook's album first. But it doesn't really matter now, because Crook's album will drop this year and I'll be there to cop it.

I'm ready too.
