Title: ~War : Destruction of Self~
Post by: bLaDe on April 20, 2003, 05:23:40 PM
Yeah so I thought id post this song I wrote a few days back bout the war......

-First, through the eyes of a dying child let us see/~
-His thoughts, perspective as he struggles to breath/~

A piercing shot echoes throughout my eardrums,
My body appears to be lost, I fear I’m growing numb,
Cold is the element my physique dwells in,
Slowly decaying in sediment as my brain swells in sin,
Shatters my soul as I hear my mothers screams,
Invisible, I feel myself slowly sucked into the golden beam,
As I float upwards gently towards the light,
My aura illuminates the forest of eternal life,
Looking down at the battle field, at this massacre,
Beneath the surface I look into their minds and I see a blur,
Dwelling under a cloak of ignorance, the blinded soldier,
To him black and white are the only perceptible colors,
Through his rifle was fired the shot,
Through which the concept of God was lost,
As I continue to float, I find my answers,
This divine knowledge spreads and infects me like cancer,
Reminiscing about the early visions that seemed scary,
Hovering above the fabric of time I see my mother in the cemetery,
Weeping over a grave engraved with my name, her tears drip,
Mixed emotions of dismay and rage, her soul, fear grips,
“I can see inside her mind, to herself she speaks,
Shall he reach nirvana like the Buddists and Sikhs preach?
Or shall he suffer his karma and through rebirths breathe?”
As I’m greeted by my brothers, souls of kings and queens,
They remind me that however awkward it may seem,
The first shall be last, and the last shall be first,
And mankind shall cause its own destruction on earth,
For he dwells in an illusion of paradise because ignorance is bliss,
Innocence is an abyss, paradoxical as it is, darkness needs light to exist…

-Ah, yes indeed War is the destruction of self/~
-Medicines and vaccines couldn't cure this obstruction of health/~

In a world where the concept of peace seems irrelevant,
Fools fail to acknowledge that which is heaven sent,
Hypocritical governments and fake reverends,
Give birth to war, the destruction of self,
Killing of innocent women and children, reduction of spiritual wealth,
For hate is a blade whose direction points inward,
Gandhi’s sacrifice is in vain; his words have never been heard,
Inside warm homes the ‘live’ coverage of the ‘dead’ sends us chills,
Bullets fired as time stands still, bodies dumped in land fills,
Glorification of war, exploitation of the dead,
Weak minds inflicted with scars, the foolish mislead,
Bombs destroying homes while a 6 year old child lies decapitated in her death bed…

-Finally, let us see the origin of this hatered/~
A Political viewpoint in an effort to rationalize the blood shed/~

When will it end? Though the origin seems overshadowed,
Suppressing the weak, exploiting the poor has been traced back to the pharaohs,
The truth stays hidden behind the curtain of propaganda,
Many questions asked, but no one knows the answer,
Societies run by a monopoly, the government tries to strangle foreign economies,
The poor remain hungry, the rich wealthy, undercover fascists claiming a democracy,
Uncle Sam claims he’s alleviating the pain,
But many do not realize he’s caused most of the suffering the same,
Imposed sanctions for years caused countless innocent deaths,
No clean water, food or housing, cold hands were warmed by breaths,
Puppet regimes implanted and the innocent oppressed,
Strings attached, manipulated in efforts to convert them into the west,
A patriotic is useless when the worlds at war,
Because he is the one who provokes the beast to roar,
When elections are fixed, one doubts the existence of free will,
Innocent die covered in the black war like an oil sea spill,
You see, the U.S government is very fundamentalist,
The way they play with minds reminds us of instrumentalists,
They dwell under an illusion of power and righteousness,
Brainwashes it’s own citizens in this everlasting cycle-of-violence,
Committing sins and injustice under a crooked foreign policy,
Taking Gods authority living under a false identity,
In reality Bush is just a puppet manipulated by masons and illuminati,
The New World order, the supreme power of something similar to the Nazis,
Many questions remain, like the funding towards Israel is a reality,
Illegal occupation of land, mass murder, innocent Palestinian casualties
The fact is, Bush decided to invade Iraq in April 2001,
Six months before September 11th, the take over had begun,
What gives USA the moral justification of policing different nations?,
Poor surviving on rations, building towers on weak foundations,
Results in a collapse, the strong shall fall and destroy itself,
Massacre is visible, so why are they called stealth?
Similar to the Roman Empire, overwhelmed with power,
Remember Hiroshima?Trying to justify deaths by nuclear showers,
Ignorant fools try dousing flames of other houses and troubles,
When their own home lies in dust and rubble….

Feedback would be appreciated guys, thanks for reading, peace

Thanks.  I realize many may not have the same views, but I request them to only judge the rhyme on the basis of technicalities and give me sum feedback etc.  I will say that I'm mostly neutral on the whole war issue, and not so anti-it as my rhyme may emphasize...peace

Well, as someone before me might've said, I don't agree with some of the ideas reflected, but Im mentioning this mainly for the sake of a possible debate over the train of thought board in the future ;D, cause this does not stop me from apriciating this Ill POETIC work, well constructed and well written.

Damn dogg, I felt I was reading Nature of the Threat U.S. Middle Eastern version. That's on some real tight ass shit. One of WCC's finest. That's got to be one of the greatest post periods, battle or not. And I rearly say that, unless it's me of course.

Word.

This is on a proffesional level man. That piece was incredible.  It reminds me of those DefPoetryJam cats.  Those cats are out of this world.  Blade's poem reminds me of this cat they had on DefPoetryJam who had a poem where he kept shouting,

"Give me an American Poet, I need something American! I need a Cherokee getting infected with small pox disease/ an African man caged pignee being stripped of his dignity/ Give me an something American! I need Malcolm, I need Nat Turner with his burner!!"

----and on and on... I was just trying to write what I remember from it and it was 100x better than that, but just to give you an idea, anyone remember that show?

Anyway, Blade was on point also with all his statements man.  That was touching.  Great poetry makes us all feel more human and get away from the illusion.  And that's what Blade did.  Thanks, peace.
