Instead DeAngelo was added and it was released on Blue Carpet. Dre wasn't happy about this and the Dre/Snoop project stalled.

Yeah this was originally a Busta track featuring Chauncey from Blackstreet. There was no Dre/Snoop album planned around that time, hell Dre couldn't even figure out what he wanted to do with "Detox".

Snoop was talking to Dre about doing that album back in 06 before BCT dropped, but Dre wasen't feeling the idea - Snoop mentions it in that large Dubcc interview from 2006.

if anyone remembers there were actually two different Snoop versions, one was heard during a pre-release listening session with totally different lyrics. for some reason i remember Kam writing that one and D.O.C. the final version.
was also confirmed in interviews to have been a Detox record as well as a Busta one, though that was obvious. Snoop had to pry it from Dre's hands as he was wanting to keep it for himself.

How Dre wasn't happy? ??? It was originally for Busta Big Bang album
Snoop asked Dre permission to use it on his album and I'm happy he did it because this could have been one these songs we would have never heard

This song is perfect, like 5/5 perfect. I wouldn't wanna have it any other way.
A Snoop/Dre album probably wouldn't have seen the day of light anyway, so I can only see this situation as a good thing if this is really the way it went.

The only rumor i know about a snoop/dre album is when they shooted the wash movie. In interview Dre told he wanted a dre/snoop album for the soundtrack but snoop wasn't ready or something like that.
