It's good but it focuses a little too much on the music and a lot more on Game than needed. Most of the story about Game's family wasn't necessary or a depiction of Compton. Yet they talk about Suge for like one minute (though I assume the next episode will touch on Suge and Death Row a lot).

I agree to an extent, they did touch ALOT more on the early Compton days though before it turned into a black community which I had never seen talked about much before anywhere else
only reason a kinda big focus falls on Game is because him and his manager helped produce it, if it were Kendrick/TDE behind it we would get basically the same only discussing their come up

Bastards of the Party focused on the early Compton days.

I know that, but that doesn't make it right. I don't mind Game being on it and I did expect to see him, but they focused on him WAAAY too much.

Its a good look for Game and I have nothing negative to say about it but its just kinda overkill at this point. Basically Straight Outta Compton movie mixed with Documentary 2/2.5 imagry, mixed with a little bit of GangLand. Nothing original or groundbreaking but getting checks from A&E must be nice.
-
^Agreed. The stuff about Game's childhood has already been put out there.
For die hard fans like us this is aiiht. For some new fans or some kid who just saw NWA and knows nothing I'm sure they will appreciate it a bit more. It was still on point though and homie covered all bases even having CMW up in there. Having part of the Williams story and the Comedian in there was a nice touch too. I would like to see Game's manger go beyond street ish and even do some interviews himself. Could he get the Monster Kody movie made? If anyone could maybe it's him.
On another note the way Venus and Serena pops raised them is how you suppose to raise kids. Once you see the talents they have, you keep nurturing it. Stop thinking it's all about school and making money. It suppose to be about doing what you love!

Part 3 was really disappointing. You'd think that they'd have talked more about Suge and Death Row (which was almost alluded to with the brief mention of both at the end of the previous part), but instead we got more stories about Game and some of his concert footage.
-
So it's a game documentary based in Compton
