Title: E-40 donates $25k worth of backpacks and supplies to his Vallejo middle school

Rapper E-40, a lyricist with a vocabulary rivaling Shakespeare's, knows the importance of good schooling.

The Vallejo MC, whose real name is Earl Stevens, gave back to the school that helped make him, by bringing $25,000 worth of Jansport backpacks filled with classroom supplies to the students of his hometown's Franklin Middle School.

"I'm just giving back," he said. "I love the kids."

E-40, who frequently proclaims his East Bay origins in his music, laughed while he told the crowd that he made the honor roll while an eighth grade student at Franklin and that he grew up on the nearby Magazine Street.

And no homo but E40 looks good. Nigga lost a lot of weight, got him looking mid 20's again.
