IV Life 411... - April 28, 2003 By : Overseer
So what's up with IV Life? Even though Volume 2 'Tha New Breed' has been complete for a few weeks now things have been quiet. It looks like the intended late april release has slipped (sorry, no pun intended..) again as the distributor has been changed in a bid to gain greater national exposure.
IV Life's DJ Slip, Young Buc (and Tha Row's Darren Vegas) also recently appeared on 'Playboy Radio'. rapindustry.com may have filmed this and be putting a video of this up soon.
As we previously reported when the album is released the IV Life site will open a merchandise section selling Volume 2, the elusive Volume 1 and other gear like T-Shirts. (These will be available to international customers. Payments I believe will be possible via PayPal). If you haven't managed to get your hands on Vol 1 yet you can hear the IV Life Family on Squeeze Play from the Doggystyle All Stars album and Clap Yo Hands from Vol 1 was also on the Tray Deee fronted General's List compilation.
And just in case you missed these.. In the run up to the release of Volume 2 IV Life have been putting up some freestyles and teaser tracks for the fans. Each title below links to the relevant post on the IV Life Fan Forum. So -don't- right-click save as on these.
Young Buc freestyle over 50 Cent's 'In Da Club'
Too Cool - 50 Cent 'Backdown' Remix
J-Dog and Crisstyle - Xzibit 'Multiply' Remix
Crisstyle "React" remix
(and my personal favourite...)
Tales From The Block by Young Buc, J-Dog and R.E.D. Produced by DJ Slip & J-Dog

That's kool. 4 Life got some buzz on the streets and on the web. That surprises me. Vol. 1 sold very good units according too Kevin at VIP. Check soundscan.
There is 4 Life in Arizona too owned by the same people. Which I THINK is mainly a Gang Affiliated Car Club/Community. 4 Life on the Westcoast is the same but with the Record label. The Radio Drops were all over Arizona too. I will try and find out details about this cause Im not sure.
So V.2 be the 1st major release with a distriution deal with someone?
I will get that new album. Good updates and good info thanks.
