Damn i love this film and too be honest i really miss the movies of the 80s and VERY early 90s.
Ppl took risks with new kinds of films and when a movie was aimed at adults it really was. Take Robocop, Running Man, Terminator 1 etc they were full of sex, hardcore VIOLENCE and loads of Gore.
The teen market today has ruined the whole action genre. Nowadays its all special affects and flashy fighting or shoot outs.
Most action movies made today suck.
And don't even get me started on horror movies...
They don't make action movies like they use to, I miss the 80s and early 90s movies.

With Matrix 2, terminator and some other large budget "R" rated movies coming out soon, I hope the studio's realize that there's a LARGE market for those type of movies.

I'll Take fucking, Coming to America, Beverly hills cop etc over American pie and these other shit comedies...
and WTF? Take Robocop for example, u see Murphy get his hand blown off and fucked up with bullets. Today u see ppl get shot multiple times in Matrix and damn near no blood or gore.

yup 80's/early 90's films are the best. Everything now is awful, the only original film of the last 5 years has been The Matrix everything else has been done before. The 80's was when the standard was set. Amazing!

Thing is, can you imagine some of those old movies with the CGI that's being done today?

What It comes down to is that money's the bottom line. More money can be made off of a PG-13 movie than an "R" rated movie due to the simple fact that it's avalible to a wider audience. I've heard some predictions that Matrix 2 is gonna blow out the sales for an "R" rated movie. Lets hope hollywood gets the hint that "R" rated movies can still make them LOTS of cash, and in turn start taking more and more risks and girtty pictures.

even animated films have been left behind.
Remember when Disney was the shit for them type of films, jungle book, aladin, lion king, but now they have fallen off big time because simply ideas are running low. Lilo and stich and Return to neverland have been disney's latest releases and they where hardly blockbusters.
For animated films nowdays the money is in the Toy Stories, the Antz and the Bugs life's!! Not in drawing any more.
