Thoughts on the first third?
Yeah, so far it's been pretty disappointing with the exception of 50 Cent and Scarface.

Best Album:
50 Cent - Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (2003's best album so far)
Best Single:
The Diplomats - "Dipset Anthem" (Their album isn't too hot, but this single is crazy)
Best Artist:
50 Cent (Self-explanatory. I'm not a fan, but 50 is the current king of rap)
Best Producer:
Just Blaze (been serving up heaters for Memphis Bleek, Freeway, The Diplomats & Fabolous, amongst others. His work on Free's album were amazing)
Best Album:
Benzino - Redemption (LOL, yes this album is a bit slept on. Not a Benzino fan, but it's actually a half decent album.)
Best Mixtape:
DJ Green Lantern - Shady Records Invasion Part II: Conspiracy Theory (I don't usually check mixtapes, but this one was good, apart from the 2Pac rip-off "Hail Mary", which I didn't like.)
-
