this info is taken from our knocturnal interview:
We just interviewed L.A. Confidentals Knocturnal and it's packed with news. Here are some interesting parts you should not miss out when the interview goes live:
- DJ Quik is not retiring.. YET! He's releasing one more album, and Knoc has written some stuff for the new album!
- Knoc's LP is dropping in June/July, The Lp will feature production by Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, Mel-Man, Warren G, DJ Quik, Hannon, L.A. Confidential, Knoc himself and others. Guests will be the finest from the West... aswell as 50 Cent.
- A magazine article had scared alotta fans that the 213 album would be packed with East Coast producers. Well according to Knoc, Warren G will probably handle about half the album himself, and outside producers will produce something to fit the westcoast vibe. Guests on 213 will be the West Coast finest... and one should surprise people: Xzibit!
- Warren G's new single from his new album features Raphael Saadiq and should hit the radios soon. It's written by Knocturnal.
- There have been recording sessions for Detox, and it's not gonna have a real tracklisting. It's gone be in different "steps". Like Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 etc and they will all have a connection. I guess Detox will be a real experience!!
Lookout for the full interview to go up in the coming week. Stay tuned!

oh...i guess some peeps are dissapointed that warren g will probably do the main part of the productions.....cause if you wanna sell you have to get neptunes etc etc....haha...fuck it. good news nima.

urgh... I wish Xzibit would just go away. I'm so sick of him, 213 shouldn't have somebody his style on it. I don't even consider him westcoast at all.

Xzibit ain't right, ever since he pulled that crap with snoop I think soopa and all the rest are gonna stay pissed at him. Just my opinion, "Make um say uuughhhh"

dope shit Nima, great newz, I am glad quik ain't retiring
-
Lots of dope news there.
I'm hoping that the other half of the 213 album is gonna be produced by peeps like Damizza, Soopafly and Daz, and not Neptunes, Timbaland, Just Blaze etc cause that would really fuck up the whole vibe of the album if they went the hot producer of the moment way about it. I mean they are gonna get played on radio and tv anyway just cause the three of them combined have quite a large fanbase, and Nate and Snoop are pretty well known artists, so they don't really need all these commercial cats producing on their album.
Dope to see that the Warren G single will be out soon, hopefully it will give him enough exposure to have a succesfull album.
And another DJ Quik album ;D
