I was just wondering what everyone thought about Wu-Tang? Back in the day I loved Wu-Tang. 36 Chambers, Tical, Wu-Tang Forever, Liquid Swords, and ODB's first album were all pretty tight and a big part of the world of rap. Since then they have come out with a lot of different shit. I mean Method Man was one of my favorite rappers, but Tical 2000 was just terrible, and The W was just as bad. Do ya'll think that over the years they have put out more quality songs, or more crap that has been terrible and made the clan look bad? What is your opinion on them?

I think WuTang has some classic shit but right now theyre just crap. Their last two album were just garbage compared to 36 and Forever.
BTW, did anyone see ODB aka "Dirt McGirt" on 106 the other day? He looked way out of sorts...Hes looks real overweight and he was all shaky and shit...AJ and Free were asking him question and I swear the guy had no clue what the fuck was going on.

I was never a huge fan of them but some of their shit is dope.

their older stuff is definitely their best, some of their newer releases are also dope, Wu rarely dissapoints me, i even like the W ;D

Most defiantly...only time ive heard an album that is weak is some of the extended wu family...the first 6 albums released at least by wu n wu members were amazing..stil bump them :)
But right now rza trying to evolve them...they have to really to survive at the head of the commercial game...

wu tang have always been dope. a few recent albums been a lil disappointing, but they still dope as fuck.

but yeah ever since like 1999 most of the Wu cd's have been either average or suck. The W was below average with a few decent cuts, Iron Flag was definately an improvement but still thats nothing compared to there older shit
The only Wu album i think that has been GREAT since 1999 was Supreme Clientele, that album is classic stuff. The last Ghost album was stuffed up, they fucked up the pressing of that cd bad. Does anyone know if they actually ever fixed it. I remember the tracklisting was so incorrect. From what i heard (even the left overs & a few originals) it was some good enuff stuff. I loved The Watch
As Wu as a group analyze its members
Method Man: To me one of the best rhymers ever he cames up with some of the most inventive. The best out of the group IMO. Why did noone liked T2: Judgement Day. I thougth that was a dope album. Esspecially the track Judgement Day
GZA: Great as well great rhymer but doesnt have the charisma to be a star like Meth
RZA: Don't like his attitude but he was a great producer & a very good rhymer, but his recent beats arent nearly as hitting
Raekwon: Decent rhymer but hypocritical "i hate commerical ass niggaz wit gold teeth" a year later he got gold teeth
Ghostface: Probably tied for favorite. His language is hard to understand but he flows great & his rhymes are weird but rhyme well almost like a freestyle type flow
U-God: Good rhymer not anything special thou
ODB: was decent until like after Forever. Thats when Crack killed what little skills he had.
Mastah Killa: Very good rhymer suprized he aint got a solo out yet
Deck: Great rhymer
Cappadonna: Wu's 10th member i like his flow reminds me alot of Ghostface.
Streetlife: Probably Wu's best side member.

Yup. The first album can never be denied, but they just don't float my boat anymore. Man. ;)

I forgot about Iron Flag, that album is pretty dope. I think together they are all good, but as solo artists the only one I really enjoy is Meth. His next album better be good. I'm really don't like Redman, for some reason he pisses me off, I really hope Meth stops doing so much shit with him. Peace.
