Title: can you copy ps2 games like psone games?

i know you can make copys of ps1 games but can you make copies of ps2 games?

Not yet. Dreamcast games, and PS1 games could be burned, cause they are smaller. DC games sometimes had to be compressed to fit on a cd, cause their discs could hold a gigabyte. A cd only holds 750, or 800. Problem with PS2 games, is that they are DVD sized. As soon as DVD burners become availiable for a reasonable price, then I'm sure someone will find a way to rip them just like the ps1. Hope that clears things up a little for you.

DREAMCAST CDS WERE CALLED GDROMS IF I REMEMBER RITE, SO 2 BURN THEM PROPERLY U NEEDED THEM, BUT THEY NEVA BECAME AVAILABLE SO COMPRRESSION WAS USED 4 CD ROMS, I THINK

Yeah, you are right, they were GDs. Besides compression, they had to crop out useless parts to make them fit on a cdr. Problem with that was if you left your dreamcast game running unattended for long periods of time, it would burn up the system for some reason. I have about 7 or 8 games for the dc that I downloaded, but they never worked that well. Glitches and shit all the time.

YEH MY MATE HAD THE PROBLEM THAT THE LASER EVENTUALLY FUCKED UP COS IT CUDNT COPE READING NORMAL CD'S, IT WILL HAPPEN 2 ALL DC'S THAT USE COPIED GAMES AT SUM POINT

u have to dload special programs to burn DC games,and i kno u can burn PS2 games cuz my friend has bought burnt copies and burns em hiself too

It would be possible to burn ps2 games if they were small enough. But games like Madden, there is no way they could even be 60% complete. The game is way to big.

there arent even any games on ps2 worth wastin the time to copy anyways........ill just stick with my trusty ol dreamcast till they start  puttin sega games on ps2  ;D

Couldn't agree with you more. The 2k series is the best I've ever played. Live has sucked the last 3 years.

You can burn PS2 games, my friend has about 20 of em, he gets them off of FTPs.  You need to get a mod chip before you can play them though.  I have no clue how he does it though, I just play them ;D. As for copying you can copy the games that aren't DVD roms (most new games are though).

yea u can burn em u jus need a prog thatz all
