Everyone thats been buyin cds lately....how many cds do you have in all in your collection....i'm up to about somewhere in the range of 400-500

I only got 73... But those are just hip-hop. But only 2 of 'em are pirates. The rest is all legal.

I remember when we last had this kind of topic on the board and Seer posted that dope pic of his cd collection on his shelves, I wonder if he'll post that pic or an updated one up again cause that was dope.
I currently got like 90 albums, 80 of them are hiphop and like 10 are rnb, soul, alternative type shit.

I've been listening for like ten years now and only have about 220-240 albums.

Ive been listening to rap since 89-90 and I only got like 450-500, I use to have tapes but i sold them all, I could have like 1,000 cd's but the ones i totally dislike i sell, I can say that every cd i got (all are hip hop or rap) i can listen all the way through, I may only have like 450-500 but i got the essential cd's of the westcoast meaning all the classic ones ;D

Including my little Funk/Soul collection (mostly stuff by George Clinton's P-Funk Empire & Curtis Mayfield) and some East Coast albums I have about 160 cds, 25 tapes and probably 15 vinyl records.
I had about 150-200 West Coast cds once but I sold most of them (Well, probably 70% were average releases anyway)...

Eventually I plan on taking a picture of all my CD's and scanning it, but they are all over the place right now. I'm supposed to move soon and then I'm going to build a custom shelf to house all of 'em.---Gotta wait till then...

I got around 125 albums, all are rap…I only got one RnB mixtape which I made, but Im really getting into RnB now…..and I only got like 30 bought albums, rest are burnt…why waist your money when U know burning will be legal in like 2-3 years.
and TNP u have no value for money, U got like 1500 CD’s times 8 bucks a cd (say u bought some of them = cheaper price overall) that’s like 10 G’s !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but I'm 27 and have been buying this shit regularly since I was 15, so things kinda build up. Gotta have the OG.
Krimson, half of my CDs are hip hop (almost ALL West Coast) but only about 150 of my vinyl is hip hop.

Yeah mines a similiar story...got about 500 "real" cds...mostly hiphop, funk, soul, some accoustic /chillout/rock/blues etc etc
About 200 recorded cd...each stored in mp3 with 8-12 albums on.
oh yeah and over 50 wutang albums alone lol
i dont see it as a waste of money either (although some close to me do)
i love music...id rather sacrifice a beer or two and get an album im gonna hopefully play and keep for a long time.
With the internet revoloution..im not surte if it will be legal so soon...
i remember most of it being shut by the fbi....(dalnet)2 years ago alot of people i knew got busted by their traffic useage etc...all taken...all destroyed.
Not many channels exist on there with servers / ftp etc..access to music in that form has been banned...an none of us thougght this could be done because of the millions of servers to connect thru etc
And a year go with same on efnet...all the big boys are online but hidden...not in channels / channels that can be viewed easily....
...most of the major sites or places where groups get together are also locked / hidden from public view...
...it has all got really suspicious
anyway if i like a cd i get from irc / internet chances are i will buy a hard copy too...
...gotta keep supporting the artists :)

I got about 150-160 right now. My money is goin towards other stuff right now tho so I don't buy albums as much.
