I've been looking forward to this. I hoped they had more material from when they released "Trajical" years back. Rage responded a message saying it was all up to Daz on when/if they were going to do the album. So sounds like they got it all worked out with Death Row. I think it'll be pretty cool. Rage always kills it. RBX sounds cool, Daz has the energy. I'd like to hear Kurupt rap/write something intricate though.

gonna be cool!

Let's hope that album comes out son. I just realized that "Trajical" came out 10 years ago. That's fuckin' crazy. Still a great song.

Shit, 10 years. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Damn we need this album.

I know they are working on both hopefully something comes out soon

i’d be shocked if this still happened

I'd be happy with Kurupt writing anything just as long as it makes sense and he's not rhyming bitch with bitch and shit and dick over and over again. Everytime I hear him rap like that, it ruins it for me, he's way more talented than that.
I hope we do get a new DPG album, it's been too long, but that N'Matez album would be dope as fuck!

I had asked RBX about the N'Matez album back in 2013 or 2014 and even though I don't remember much of what he responded, I remember it left me with the impression that most of the tracks for it had already been recorded. If that really was the case, I hope they release those tracks and not some new 2021 BS records.

Awesome I didn't think they recorded anything. Let's hope they have something ready. I heard from Rage on instagram she said it's all up to Daz. People can hate all they want but he seems to be calling shots.

I thought Rage was the one that's pushing for the project to come out. This is what Tony Trey said about the Instagram live John Payne did some time ago.
JP is joined by RBX. N'Matez project to be released on DR. Talking this Monday (I assume to finalize details). According to RBX, all 4 members are eager and excited and Rage is the driving force. He, Kurupt, and Daz are following her lead. According to JP, it was Rage that reached out to him to co-release the project with Death Row. NOTE: Per Daz's instagram, the album will be released this year jointly on Deathrow/N'Matez Records. He and RBX reminisce a little. RBX leaves.

Yeah I exchanged a couple messages with her years ago and she said she wanted to do it but it was up to Daz.

I'm done with Daz. He hasn't produced a decent song in a long time. He was great when he was with Dre. Amazing how hard he fell off.

I disagree with this. The few tracks that I checked out from his last solo album Dazamataz were decent. Daz is still more than capable of making great music, he's a legend.

daz has announced a lot of projects during all these years and he always says some bullshit about upcoming albums... does anyone remember how many project he promised?
I remember i was waiting for PFN album Navvgation

^^ exactly
dogg food 2 was sposta come out in 2018
he puts out about 15% of what he announces
-
I understand that can be frustrating - I have looked forward to many projects over the years not just from Daz. But if you've done music then you know some of this is definitely false promo yes, but some of it is just a change in creativity, change in direction and/or not liking the project. Or likely fallouts because of money/points etc. I personally have 4 or 5 albums worth of material, only released one. It's not as easy as some think. So if we get 15% from Daz, that's pretty good. And compared to some that don't put anything out ever. No singles, compilations, eps or whatever. Daz has a pretty large catalogue overall.

there’s a difference between simply having music u don’t put out and regularly announcing projects that don’t get released

What? You tripping. He has released a lot of classic material over the years. Hist last album is one of his best.

True, but he has released a lot of albums over the years. Just 'cause he changed the titles doesn't mean we haven't gotten 'em. You know what I mean?

I guess I have a pretty lofty definition of "classic". The Chronic and AEOM were classic. Daz's Death row album was good. I can't think of one classic song that he has had or produced after his solo. I don't think anyone would argue that Daz's production didn't fall off after his Death Row days. I'm not saying he was garbage, just not elite like he was as a co-producer.
-
classic to me does not have to mean GOAT level albums like The Chronic and AEOM...Daz RAW album to me is classic but obviously not in the GOAT discussion

Na daz is more like announcing thousand of albums but no one already in the making like that dogg pound album executive produced by dre & snoop.

Fair enough. But even with that I would only include Revenge Retaliation and Get Back as classic, but not any of his other albums.

RAW and This is the Life I Lead were solid albums as well. Dazmataz was a good album.

I always looked at that as the end of Death Row...really the last great album they released
