That song with Eminem is dope.

I tried to make it through the whole album, but it didn't seem like it was polished. It was more of an mixtape than an official album. I think Grip has potential. Lyrically he is way above average, but it sounds like he hasn't figured out how to put full songs together. The beats also sounded basic and his hooks are subpar. I would definitely check out his second album, but this one doesn't have much replay value.

meh... not really interested in new music, but maybe I'll listen to one song to give the guy a chance since he's signed to Shady Records (not that that means much to me anymore I don't even listen to any of Eminem's new shit, accept a track here and there like my son showed me "Cattipillar" and "Not Alike". Usually someone has to show me I'm not just gonna run and check it out just cause it's Eminem or Shady Records.
what's the best song on the album?

All of the songs sound similar, so it is hard to pick one. The one with Eminem was okay.

thats not a thing to be proud of...

But Nas is in your top 3
You do realize that Illmatic is considered Nas greatest album (released in 94') and "If I Ruled The World" with Lauryn Hill was one of his biggest songs (96 summer)

Which is why I didn’t show much love to Nas or the Illmatic album till 99– but “If I Ruled the World” was undeniable in 96’ and Dre was in the source givin a lot of props to Lauryn that summer. I didn’t fucc wit nobody out East back then except Lost Boyz and they were down with Dogg Pound
