Not a new song in ear-shot, come on Dre put something fresh out :grumpy:

If you ever had a chance to watch halfitme performence you would know that there never was a new material. I don't know why you think it's going to be different this time.

Whats a half time show?!

Dre putting something out in february was always a rumor. This is still just a performance first. It's not like he'll announce something in the middle of the show.
Would be dumb to not do drop anything after it though.

he said this might lead to a tour

That is the best time for Dre to release.

And "couple other things" they planned 8)

Very well produced trailer from F Gary Gray, definitely makes you hyped for the performance.
I just hope, like everyone else, that we get some new music out of all of this.

ren teased with this tweet 2 years ago, maybe it was related to this superbowl thing.

Nobody feeling like me the trailer is a bit cheesy ; those keys on the ocean. Not even sure the moving keys change while the chords change on "Still D.R.E." And what about Dre smiling-not smiling ?

Sean Forbes (deaf rapper/executşve produced by Jake Bass (Jeff Bass's son))announced to perform in half time show???
i think he is going to translate the performances to sign language simultaniously.

Does anybody know how to watch super bowl live for people living all around the world?
There's probably a paid subscription channel or service that bought the rights to it in your country maybe you can do a free month and then cancel? Down here theyre showing it on the dutch ESPN which I'm already subscribed to anyway 8)

For real. No one performs new stuff at events like the Super Bowl. Just their biggest hits.

So Daz and Kurupt parts both got swallowed by Dre... Dre did Kurupts part on “Next Episode” and then Dre did Daz “I Ain’t Mad At Ya” (though I know Daz lifted that sample right?? Any backstory on that was that sample Daz idea or a musician on that classic?) maybe Danny Boy knows but speaking of which Danny Boy got to feel big he’s kind of down right now I think his daughter died or something recently...
My prediction for Em was right I told y’all he would do “Lose Yourself”.
I thought Snoop outperformed Eminem. Kendrick did his thing. Em was good though...
50 nearly choked I think... hell I was feeling nervous just being a fan of Dre so I thought someone would choke and it was nearly 50.
Dre didn’t great only disappointment was I thought when he went to the piano and did “I Ain’t Mad At Ya” that was the moment for Pac hologram
...and take note it was anniversary of "I Ain't Mad A Ya" release and greatest album in history release AEOM

Yeah that was the feeling I got... and not to mention he always try to throw shade on Dre with little comments over the years and then Dre gives him his big moment. Dre shoulda’ cut that shit and gone wit the Pac hologram

I wonder how The Game was feeling tonight. It makes sense, as Dre never took sides in the beef and even tonight picked the bigger hit for the set.

Dre made the right choice by not including every artist that he ever worked with. Hard to believe it, but Aftermath has sold way more records than Death Row ever did.

that was my thought as well

Am I wrong here by being disappointed ? I thought he mentioned something about revealing his next "saga" ? They performed stuff we have heard 40 million times and it was just kind of mediocre live . Mary J Blige was completely unnecessary and 50 also was just another has-been on that stage . The hardcore fans looking ahead were not fed tonight .

duno what u were expecting but those of us familiar with the super bowl already told you how it would go down

I thought the overall performance was good but adding MJB didn’t make sense. 50 was completely underwhelming. I don’t think he should have been on the stage unless it was with Game but the politics prevented that.
-
So why Dre played i ain’t mad at cha ? for a few second
I don’t fuck with n dot no more but he killed it!! Best performance of the night

it made perfect sense.. they needed somethin for the ladies too. she handled it.
-
it was aight.
my fav part is the body positive thing was.
check the dancers. not just skinny ass model chicks, but real women, and plus size dancers too.
and not on the back, on the front of the camera!

Wow, this was amazing, spectacular. Stage was unreal. Everyone killd it. 8)

Mary J was at her best, i realised again how big hit "family affair" is... 50 was unnecessary to me also, i'd prefer to hear nuthing but a g thang instead in da club, cant believe they left that song out of show. just played the familiar lead melody in the middle of next episode performance.
-

boy, you need to look for another music genre to listen. you donT belong here if u really ask that question.

only smart men now, chubby is better ;D ;D ;D

50 cent is a bad live performer . Despite the mainstream appeal of In da Club , I'm (kind of) surprised Dre the perfectionist :D let this disaster happen.
-
that was your favorite thing?
:thefuck:
yup.
the performance, the show was aight. far from up in the smoke u know what i mean.
and yes. in this toxic world this is a really good thing. they dare to showin real man, and woman not just insta modells.

I was just pointing out moments like where Dre spit Kurupts line but that doesn’t mean Kurupt needed to be there, Dre made the right decision—only the biggest name because this wasn’t for the hardcore this was for worldwide... ain’t like he gonna bring Danny boy gay ass in just to sing a little ditty...
I’m extremely happy he played the Pac piano notes though cause it meant PAC’s presence was there and that’s key because there is one artist bigger than Dre or snoop on the west and that’s pac
-
when the show was over, what left in my mind was nuthin but "i aint mad at cha".. i listened to that song and watch the music video many times again and again after the show.
-
the performance, the show was aight. far from up in the smoke u know what i mean.
you mean the tour where ladies in the audience showed their boobs ;D

Normally Dre would rock the stage with his attitude and his vocal performance, it wouldnt matter if snoop or em or xzibit next to him, dre wouldnt let anyone steal the show. But this time he was looking old enough to do that, even his vocal performance was lower than before. But its normal, isnt it? I think im not ready to accept the fact he is old really.
Snoop, damn! he was like the owner of Los Angeles and everybody was his guest for a while. He was on another level on whole show. His attitude, his happy confident smile, the way he dance, his vocal performance... everything was %100 on top level! I felt that watching Snoop Dogg like this equal to watch 2pac if he is alive today. Snoop dogg is the most iconic internationaly well know hip hop artist of all time and he still on fire. God Bless him.
50 Cent... he was really unnecassary. I'd prefer to listen to Nuthing But A G Thang or Deep Cover or Keep Their Hands Ringin instead.
Mary J Blige... after snoop and dre's performance that they performed on feet with no spectacular show business included, mary j blige brought some heat and vibe to the show, i realised one more time "family affair" might be Dre's biggest hit ever. Her performance was also made me feel goosebumps. ıt was iconic.
Kendrick... he showed that he is a fucking incredible star! His show was ground shaking. I respect him more than ever today after the show. We can say he was the one and only stole the show yesterday.
Eminem... He could do a super bowl alone in future on his own. But he was humble to back dre up with only one song on whole show and he did his job very well in an acceptable standart and let dre to do the final spectacularly with playing the piano. you guys might remember Pac dissed dre so hard before he died and dre's choice was so brilliant to show respect to Pac. I aint mad at cha! still goose bumps!
Honestly at the end, i can say that i was expecting it to be more spectacular for the whole show but i still can say it was one of the happiest and memorable moments of my life as a west coast fan.
-
u caught that 8) quite subtle ;)
Did you guys hear Pyrex in the beginning? 8)
-
Impressive show, one of the best. I'm proud of what they did up there in front of the biggest audience they will ever have.

yup.

i dont even know that song (edit: just checked, Beats commercial with K. Dot). When in the beginning?
-
I thought the show was brilliant and well put together, sure could nit pick here and there but the same can be said about pretty much every live performance. Was good to see all the legends on stage and was great for all of us fans who are a lot older now, loved it thought it was dope
-

I agree, I didn't watch live but watched the show afterwards. I thought it looked very well put together and everything appeared to go to plan for everyone. It was a great advert for west-coast rap and an even better one for Dr. Dre and his legacy with most of his protégés there putting it down.
I didn't think 50 Cent's segment was that powerful, but it made sense that he was there as a (sort of) surprise. Could have done with Xzibit's energy instead, performing X or something along those lines. Dre knew what he was doing leaving Eminem until the end as well.
But other than that it was all good, especially Snoop C-walking all over the place :D

In the moment I felt like 50's performance was weak. But I've watched it since and it was fine. He just didn't have the energy of everyone else. Like not even close.
