No snippets, tracklisting, press release, video trailer, interview etc. Just out Friday and that's it?

It will be most likely compilation of previously released tracks.

What's wrong with the management at Snoop, he brings Mount Westmore out via NFT, which is a major release and he officially releases the inferior Death Row summer via all steaming platforms

This :-\
-
1st track already released on Dogg Pound album „Keep on Ridin”.
-
This is not Death Row we all are waiting for :-*
-
Listened to the album a few times this morning. It's alright but probably the worst Snoop Dogg compilation I have heard. It is still generally OK and listenable i guess. It does gradually gets a bit too much R&B focused though.
1. Keep on riding - old song that still bangs though
2. Bad - Good song, Tray Deee and Goldie Loc sound great, not the usual upbeat Eastsidaz type beat from 1st 2 albums but a gangsta beat
3. Touch Away - Single out for a month or so now - sounds ok
4. Bron & Bronny - Trap beat so meh
5. Everybody watching - some 60s/70s jam that sounds sort of corny - so meh, probably the worst track.
6. Mullholland drive - Smooth and laid back R&B i like it.
7. Mans World - More R&B - I like Jane Handcock since the Alogrith album
8. World Go Round - another 60s/70s style R&B Jam so meh
9. Whoopty whoop - downloaded previously from the NFT sites so we already know its banging
10. Higher Power - Slow Trap - just about listenable but nothing special
11. Put you through hell - R&B sounds ok and listenable
12. Bailia Conmigo - Latin inspired R&B - sounds ok to listen to
13. Verbalize - Slow R&B listenable
14. Wait a Minute Baby - another old 60s/70s style RnB so meh
15. Runnin - Slow R&B that doesnt start off so good but becomes average as it goes on.

&
6. Mullholland drive i dont need more

Suge was always more into R&B than rap so maybe that’s the spirit of new album nevrthless wtf Keep On Ridin is doing there?
-
This is trash. Listened to it one time and that’s it. What a waste of time. We need that MT Westmore album not this garbage.
-
I think this project includes some of the songs that were initially going on the Lowrider album Snoop talked about.
-
I kinda like the direction the went with this little project. The old Death Row roster is dead. It's 2022, time to bring something new to the legacy
-
Death Row is now just RnB with little touch of hip hop.

stop that bullshit talk! Its a compilation!Dogg Pound / Tha Eastsidaz and the list goes on & on all Hip Hip
wait for Death Row releases
-
All we are waiting for is you to stop talking about your wet Death Row dreams.
-
Credit where it's due. The production and arrangement with this project is there. The R&B has a distinct vintage feel that's pretty spot on; a combination of lowrider oldies sound with street laced lyrics. Raphael Saadiq is no slouch. And the other artists can sing. Definitely wasn't expecting it to be this sort of quality. I'm pleasantly surprised.
-
Btw sound quality's ass tho
-
Sounds like an external hardware issue. The quality is crystal clear assuming it was purchased from iTunes.

The best song from this album.

Nah, hardware's cool. I got a 320 kbps rip from a direct source, put the files in a sound spectrum analyzer – 95% of the songs r in poor 128 quality :snoop: Shit's trash.
That's really somethin I hate about this digital only age, smh...
EDIT:
Got me the iTunes version and some tracks r slightly better
-
Digital has actually gotten so good it's nearly indistinguishable from analog. It's really up to the artists on whether they: 1. Have a good production team and equipment and 2. Decide to release in hi-res.
Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue in 24-bit 192kHz is a masterpiece. There's really no beating it when played though the right gear and room treatments.

Maybe because Apple got lossless files but I’m not an expert.
-
Apple uses AAC encoded with 256 Kbps by default. Sample rate is 44.1 kHz. It's near-CD quality but technically from a bit-wise perspective, it falls short because the encoding is lossy. So it's not 100% identical to CD quality. When expanded back to a .wav format to match the bits on a CD, the expanded bits from the AAC file would not match perfectly with the bits on the CD because of the lossy encoding. It's claimed that the bitrate of the encoding used on iTunes files imparts no human-perceptible loss in the audio when compared to the source CD material. This sort of stuff is harder to verify, requiring double blind tests and the opinions of hopelessly fallible human beings.
-
The best song from this album.
No question. Jay J talking that Whoopty Whoop from Turkey.
-
this was actually pretty nice for an r&b compilation
expected worse from the reviews here

He got a couple of mixtapes with DJ Drama and at least 2 of 'em r officially dubbed Gangsta Grillz (this one as well https://www.discogs.com/master/1096289-DJ-Drama-Snoop-Dogg-Thats-My-Work-3). The article never said that this would be the first one tho...

That's dope. Snoop usually has some good stuff on mixtapes with DJ Drama.
