Is it just me or are the strings missing from the commercial? I think the hook would still work. But the verses need to go. Need someone to overlay the vocals on the beat from the commercial.

no. detox was 100% gonna come out then but those were not the official/real singles for it, they were just promo/street singles just to get the word out that dre is back rapping, the same way recipe and compton were detox promo/street singles but dre put those on gkmc instead of putting them out as his own promo/street singles. the actual singles were much bigger and better songs that people would expect to be detox singles after waiting for 10+ years.

At some point 50 just stopped being able to come up with song structures of his own. From the mixtapes though Massacre he had a real gift, then around time of Curtis started seeing him rely on these cookie cutter beat hook verse structures anyone could hop on.

honestly i liked Dre in the nineties but i cant stand eminem and 50 cent. i hate all these commercials rappers . i dont even listen To these tracks. he should produce for King Tee or Slim the mobsters , real rappers from the street not for the unbearable Tv ...

this one cuts out the best note in the entire melody LOL
someone said Khalil did this, maybe he had something to do with it but it's obvious to me it's someone else playing especially the strings part.

The terrible hook is a missed opportunity, the rest of the track is fire! I can see why they didn't release this as a single though... It has that leftover vibe.
