this is what soopafly said in dubcnn interview

dubcnn.com : But why did Kokane leave?

Kokane? I think they had business problems, between him and Snoop, so I don't really know the very interior of it, but it's not BAD terms, but I guess they thought it would be better if they part ways as far as business...

dubcnn.com : Will we still hear Kokane on the new DoggHouse stuff?

Mmh.....

dubcnn.com : I mean he was all over the other albums!

Yeah he was.. I don't think so in future...

thanks mate i read the soopafly interview, tight interview. Thats what made me post the topic, i dont no if kokane and snoop just dont get on, coz in tha welcome to tha house doggumentary the way kokane spoke about snoop was as if there was a bit of tension between them. Plus i heard stories that kokane had a crack addiction which was the reason y his album was constantly pushed back, but he has appeared on so many tracks i find it hard to believe that they havant got enough material to put his album out. Did an album actually come out a while ago ? if so where can i get it from and whats the titles and tracklistings. Also are there any kokane bootlegs that have been around.

I remember a few months ago on some thread here, I alluded that there were some major problems with Snoop and Kokane. It was the typical monetary disputes.

Nima just filled me in on this news.  It totally sucks.  Tracks like these Ive been bumpin alot lately and I guess they'll never see the light of day.  Classic Dogghouse tracks too.  We'll have to wait and see.

Some Sucka Shit, So Quick So Fast, You Could Be, Major Skrilla, Makes You Wanna, Dogghouse Soul Food, Oh... and you cant forget Bellin Ft. WC.

Maybe Kokane could find a home at Deathrow (Now That Would Be Interesting)

there is plenty of material from the bootlegs to make a good album plus there what we havn't heard. kokane was working with snoop since about 98 or somink, theres 5 years of material! i can't wait to go out and purchase a new kokane album but this just makes the wait even longer. i wonder what will happen to his material stay with dogghouse or will he release it?

when we first heard he was puttin an album out it was going to be a joint venture between doggystyle and aftermath i wonder whats up with the aftermath side of things. one thing is for sure without snoop backing him less people are going to be checking for him which is very sad, he should probably take a leaf out of nates book and work with more artists as kokaloca has prodominatly stay with the westcoast but its that funky sound which suits him so well.

I hope Kokane signs with Westworld (ATL's label).  That would be tight.

Hahaha, that would be a trip, but we have enough on our plate with just ATL and making sure they stay paid every month. I think Kokane should just do things on his own, because at least then he can go by his own rules. But it's strange when he records with us, he's Kokane the rapper with his funkdafied sounds kept to a minimum, but when he's with everybody else it seems he's Mr. Full Time Hook-Singer. Dude is talented as hell and I think he just oversaturated the market so fast with one particular style and I think he (like everybody in the business) needs to make sure his business is right, or else it'll wind up like it is now.

I'd at least like to see Hutch produce some tracks for him.  That was the perfect formula on "Funk upon a rhyme".
