The release is fucked up. Bitches Ain’t Shit is very quite in comparison to rest of the album. The mastering od the rest is also questionable.

I'll stick with my CD from 30 years ago...still sounds great

I already ripped all my DR cds.

this isn’t a death row release
the reason it’s back up is because snoop gave it back to dre.. and then dre sold it to some company
now the company put it up witout giving proper credit

No proper credits and no proper mastering :'(

After Snoop acquired Death Row Records Dre's lawyer made a statement ... "Howard King, attorney for Dr. Dre said in a statement to Rolling Stone recently “There are false reports out regarding ownership by Death Row Records of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. Dr. Dre owns 100 percent of The Chronic.”"

As mentioned it was recently announced Dre sold some of his music catalog: https://pagesix.com/2023/01/12/dr-dre-selling-music-catalog-for-over-200-million/
"UMG would acquire “The Chronic” recording, which will subsequently transfer ownership from Dr. Dre to Death Row Entertainment in August, per the outlet."
I can't keep up... but its ironic Snoop doesn't seem to want to bring back the Death Row catalog to streaming services but now The Chronic, All Eyez On Me and The 7 Day Theory are online since Death Row doesn't own the rights (Pac's were given back to his family after his death and if Dre's ownership was sold its back online).. it would seem to put pressure on him to bring it back. I'm sure he doesn't give a fuck... The only reason I wanted The Chronic back online is to use the music for Reels on Instagram.
Big fan of The Chronic here.. in 2022 I figured out where The Chronic album photos were taken. More here on how I did it and how I confirmed it w/ the photographer: https://youtu.be/XmUyCefeTrM

So as I thought would happen... Snoop announced all of Death Row's catalog (I wonder if it will mirror what was avail before he pulled it down as "Pain" had been finally released on streaming) will be bacc on streaming. I guess TikTok (I'm not on it) has it for a week as an exclusive lol. With Chronic, AEOM and Makaveli already online it only made sense to add the others back. I mean there are most sound tracks and complications then full studio albums it seems when you really break down. I wonder if 187 will ever be added? I heard/read that Solar owns the rights. Just stupid its not avail as its a dope track that would no doubt get a lot of streams.
