Unbelievable. The album has been done for years now. Just release digitally and some money off of it, rather than no money just sitting on a harddrive.

Album is bangin - straight westcoast - but you know me and my mastering problems :grumpy:
-
Skimmed through it, sounded real nice! Only complaints: NHale vocals sound like he recorded in a trash can + a few songs are in low quality (below 128 kb/s!) :grumpy: prolly weren't bounced right
-
Couple of bangers: Eazy and U Not Who U Are

daz shoulda gave this to labcabin records to mix and master it in top quality

Ok thanks for the clarification. Baby Eazy sounds like Eazy E in the voice… Eazy E had that distinct baritone sound and Baby E is very close!

Album is bangin - straight westcoast - but you know me and my mastering problems :grumpy:
The mastering is not terrible but its not good. I banged it on the big system today, Id say 3/5 stars. It didnt sound compressed properly and it wasnt very clear or loud.
As opposed to Mack 10 - Chevy single … that was horrific. I think someone made an uploading mistake to ITUNES and other streaming services. I hope they redo that or reup it proper when the album comes out

baritone? i think you’re confused bout what bariton is fam

Baritone - “A baritone is a type of classical male singing voice whose vocal range lies between the bass and the tenor voice-types.”
Nope Im not confused, just educated. Eazy E has bass in his voice, Lil Eazy does not, and Baby Eazy does and his voice is more similar to his pops. Another example of bass, is listening to recent Dr Dre, he boosts the low frequencies in his vocals to give his voice a “bass” effect.
None of them sing classical music - its just a reference.

DAZ & LIL E - THE LEGACY
Dogg Pound Records / Rich & Ruthless Records
Lil Eazy-E and Daz Dillinger partner up for The Legacy, an album celebrating both Ruthless Records and Death Row Records’ musical and cultural contributions. Beginning with the album’s titular track, Lil Eazy-E, the son of Ruthless Records founder and N.W.A. member Eazy-E, speaks on his lineage and the rite of passage of walking in the footsteps of icons. “Born and raised in this sh*t/ Took all the steps, now I’m blazing this sh*t/ When I’m on stage, you ain’t fading me, sh*t/ NWA paved the way for this sh*t,” the legendary descendant raps atop a track produced by Daz Dillinger and featuring RBX.
While West Coast rap’s calling card may be gangsta stylings, that’s by no means an afront to its musical stars’ ability to enjoy the serene surroundings, as evidenced by the breezy standout “Just Like Gz.” On the dedicatory “Eazy,” Lil-Eazy and Daz try their hand at the elder Wright’s classic 1988 hit “We Want Eazy,” delivering bounce to the ounce over a pulsating jam. “Gangsta Memories” and “Make Believe” are also slappers that could pique your interest upon pressing play, making this prideful longplayer a worthwhile one. – PB
DAZ DILLINGER & LIL EAZY - THE LEGACY
Firstly, it's pleasing to see Daz heavily back amongst the producer credits, after he has seemingly taken a back step to that on many of his recent albums. Here he produces nine songs and the production is an improvement when compared to many of his albums from the last number of years.
A high 3/5. It's easy to listen to from front to back, the rapping and beats are all enjoyable, that make for some bangin' songs like 'Ball Sipp'n', and there are some catchy, likeable hooks. On the flip side, there are no amazing moments and the content is nothing we haven't heard before. The worst moment is the annoying Kevin Slow Jammin James on the end of 'What's the Bizznizz'. Who TF talks like that?
Beats: ★★★☆
Rapping/Bars: ★★★☆
Hooks: ★★★☆
Best Tracks: Compton & Long Beach, 8 Ball Sipp'n, Just Like Gz, Eazy, U R Not Who U R, Rest N Peace

You are right, he did have a high pitched voice. But he also had some bass behind it, its hard to type out an explanation.
Like when he prolongs his vocals… “its Eaazzy muthaphuckkin Eeeeeee” you know exactly who it is.
Its interesting to hear the differences when you play Eazy E, Lil Eazy, and Baby Eazy back to back from a mixing or sound perspective.

i don’t hear bass in his voice
in fact, i hear the opposite .. lil eazy has a deeper voice than his pops

Eqzy-E did rip with a high pitch when he yelled but when he rapped calm, his voice is deep like verse 2 of No More ?s

don't exaggerate the mastering and mixing.
if the song is good ,usually the mastering aint so important.
by the way, a few songs are dope but i dont like
all the sentimental or nostalgic songs and lyrics or predictable progression chords.
A good album

Cause mastering is important IMO. If you are happy with low quality, demo type of music that's your problem.

Less is more!
Top 5
Make Believe - Daz kills the verse here, comes hungry like RAW … “pour ashes on the devil you a fool you gonna get burnt!”
The Legacy - great nostalgia song, a heavy hitter
Compton n Long Beach - classic dpg big pimpin
8 Ball Sippn - Good hype song
Gangsta Memories - Good to hear Kokane, reminds of RAW era production
-
your rap is trash homey and you want To talk about music ? bitch please..
considering i just dropped a critically acclaimed album, spiteful comments by some non-english speaking nazi don’t really mean much at all
https://thesource.com/2023/03/08/fatlip-releases-torpor-vinyl-with-the-way-featuring-krayzie-bone-sccit/
^^ you see, when the source calls your album “a work of genius”, it’s hard to be phased by the thoughts of some weirdo who claims mastering isn’t an important part of music
for those of us who aren’t total morons, we know that the difference between a great master and a poor master can literally make or break a song
now shut the fuck up and go listen to your mp3s clown

How the album came about -
Eazy-E Has 'Reels' of Unreleased Music: 'He Had Songs With Guns N’ Roses'
Published Thu, April 6, 2023 at 12:51 PM EDT
On March 26, 1995, Hip-Hop lost one of its greatest visionaries when Eric “Eazy-E” Wright passed away at only 30 years old. Shortly before his passing, Eazy had just patched up old wounds with Ice Cube in a moment that was depicted in the 2015 N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, and was putting the pieces together for an N.W.A reunion.
Despite the beginning of a reconciliation with Dr. Dre, the Ruthless beef with Death Row Records was still in full effect as Daz and Kurupt had just released “What Would You Do,” on the Murder Was The Case soundtrack and Eazy had recorded his response “Wut Would You Do,” released posthumously on his album Str8 Off The Streetz Of Muthaphukkin Compton.
With that history and more, March 22, 2023, was a special day for Hip-Hop — the release of Daz Dillinger and Lil Eazy-E’s collaborative project The Legacy, a 12-track LP that appropriately featured artists from various generations, including Kokane, RBX, Tha Chill of Compton’s Most Wanted, Kid Capri, Nate Dogg’s son NHale, Lil E’s brother Baby Eazy-E and more.
It was a full circle moment and one that showed just how much the once tumultuous west coast has come together. At a listening event for The Legacy held in Hollywood, Rock The Bells caught up with the late rapper/CEO’s longtime friend Arnold “Bigg A” White, who orchestrated this album as well as earlier collaborations between Eazy’s sons, Lil Eazy-E, E3 and Dr. Dre’s son Curtis Young. According to him, it all started with a recent trip to Taiwan.
“Daz had a trip to Taiwan, so I said, ‘Daz, let’s bring Lil Eazy.’ He said, ‘Hell yeah.’ When Lil Eazy came that’s when they put their energy together on stage. Daz said [to Lil Eazy], ‘As soon as we get back to L.A., it’s time to activate your album,’" he remembered.
He said it was really Eazy that put the project together. "We worked with his energy, we worked with his spirit," Bigg A explained. "Lil Eazy has never had an official album come out. I give this to the spirit of his father because the right tools were put into place. I didn’t need a couple independent producers, I needed a couple of platinum producers’ names on there that understood the legacy of his dad. Over the years since I’ve been working with Daz and them, every show he do, every show Snoop do, they give it up to Eazy in the show.”
With all of the aforementioned features on the project, Bigg A revealed that there was almost a father/son collaboration, one that could still happen very soon.
“[A Eazy-E feature] was almost there on this project,” Bigg A told Rock The Bells, before eluding to the possibility still being very real. “With the success of this record and the relationship we have with [Eazy-E’s widow Tomica], I think in the very near future we might see another Eazy-E project or another single with [Eazy’s] vocals from some unreleased music.”
For years, fans have wondered if Eazy still had unreleased music out there. After he passed, he had two songs pop up on the Ruthless 10-year anniversary project Decade of Game, a verse on Mack 10’s The Recipe, and an 8-song release called Impact Of A Legend, but nothing since then. However, Bigg A says there's more unreleased music out there, including a collaboration with some rock legends.
“There is unreleased music still out there,” Bigg A confirms. "We know for a fact that he had two or three or four reels in his car when he went to the hospital. Those reels came up missing. He had songs with Slash from Guns n’ Roses — he had songs with Guns n’ Roses on those reels. Those reels have been found 'cause they wound up in Canada. That’s a whole other story, but what happened to them [since], I don’t know. I don’t know if the estate got them, but there is unreleased music, and Yella has some, I know for a fact that there is some unreleased acapella vocals, that he was working on some records with a couple of producers I worked with and last I heard was that they were up in Dre’s studio.”

yeah man.. like you said.. leave the post to show what they said, so that people know what's up. Then like three days, but like you said not for opinions. Me personally, I would've let the words he said slide unless it became like a spam situation where like multiple posts he's throwing around jewish epithats. But you know in the thread he was spitting in he could of said everything he said without using that word. But if for some reason to make his point he feels that word has to be said I'd give him a one off or something like that, not saying I agree, but just for non-censorship freedom of speech purposes.
but bottom line I'm splitting hairs here, you handled it in a decent way

Only song i feel is Gangsta Memories feat. Kokane which is produced by Dae One. Even it is not a banger or classic. Nothing special about the whole album.
-
Shit is dope, maybe my favorite album of the year.
-
Finally sat down and listened to this album. It's pretty dope. Lyrically it's nothing groundbreaking though. My favorite song right now is "Eazy".
