funny that Tim Dog was dissing NWA for being wack in his eyes when he himself was a pretty wack rapper

this was kind of the beginning of New York and the East Coast hating on the West

Yep.. and now all the revisionist history that there was no Coastal beef and it was just a beef between Pac/Suge and Biggie/Puffy and all the magazines and medias fault.  Like Reggie Wright says, whenever Snoop tries to say that in an interview just play the House of Blues video... or whenever Kurupt tries to say it they oughtta just play "NY 87'" (though that track was unreleased but there were plenty others)

but his reasons for dissing NWA and the West was pretty wack imo...he claimed it was aimed at them for their Raider hats and wearing black, jheri curls and promoting gang activity but it was really because the West at the time was getting more popular on the East Coast and they were getting more publicity while local artists were pushed to the side...this was the begining of East Coast hatred for the West

I supported his dislike for pop rappers though

I could be wrong because it was before my time but I think it was in good spirit of competition and battlin from the 80's golden era.  Seems it pretty much stayed on wax and it made everyone step up their game.
