It's on the Wide Awake release LBC Crew Haven't You Heard which was the best thing that ever came out of the WideAwake vault. I loved that album and even my young son really enjoyed it as well.
"Baby Come Home" wasn't really that dope if you want a great Sentrelle song "Droppin Bombz" wit Tray Dee is classic from the Show soundtrack.
...but lol at you saying Doggfather is best Snoop album.. even Sccit wouldn't agree with you on that and he's been caught overrating the Doggfather album on here for years. Snoop didn't really do shit for "Gold Rush" it's pretty much an LBC Crew track feat. Kurupt and Snoop -- and LBC Crew was still bringing heat
Look at it this way... "G Thang", "Dre Day", "Who Am I", "Gin and Juice", "Doggy Dogg World", "Murder Was The Case", "2 of Americas Most Wanted"...... then........ "Snoop's Upside Your Head"
see the problem?

I'm sure he did. Doggfather wasn't a bad album.

The lead single was "Snoop's Upside Your Head". That's the best he could do?

Single doesn't mean that its "best he could do" plus "SUYH" was a dope cut.
There were more joints that stood out.

Doggystyle was a great album, but Snoop matured on Doggfather and it's the best album. Even Snoop confirmed fans choose this one as their favourite.
If you like gangster rap, then this is a go to album. Pretty much every track, if not all, is 10/10.

I will say this about Doggfather, combine the best tracks on it (Gold Rush, Downtown Assassins, Blueberry) with songs that were left out like Gangstas Life, Head Doctor, Keep It Real Dogg and you have a whole different album

Lost Sessions have tracks from The Chronic era, Doggystyle as well.

There's no way Doggfather was better than Doggystyle. The mastering alone was a big drop off from the first album.
There's a nice thread on Bomb1st that goes over all of the tracklist iterations while the album was being worked on. A lot of tracks didn't make the final cut that I believe would of made the album even better.

Doggfather is underrated for coming after Doggystyle.
I obviously prefer Doggystyle (almost perfect album).
But I love Doggfather a lot too, have that Dogg Pound sound.
One of the tracks I always go back to is 2001
“ T Lee, hold 'em, shake 'em, roll
Fly G boys and all you hood-rat girls (ow)
Pound puts it down all around the world
The best pick of the litter, LB young nigga
I'll eat soul out my dog bowl, I bark when it get dark
Bitches in heat, we tear the beat up, what?
On the microphone I bury the bone
Always, strays try to follow me home, uh
To get the pooper scooper, why? They dropping doo-doo
I'm stepping on shit, lift up the bottom of my shoe
See I'm smashing, full-breaded with no leash
When I mob, make marks across the street
See I'm vicious like hell, got 'em waggin' they tail
For the bow-wow L-B-C style“

I don't think there was anyone disputing that...it was mostly criticism that Doggfather was Snoops best album

Blueberry is in my top 3 joints on the album along with Gold Rush and Downtown Assassins
album definitely had some bangers

Tha doggfather was to me the most anticipated album ever. Although without dre mixing/producing it, it could only be a let down upon Its release date. Which it was. After i matured and started get into Mob movies and funk music i realised this album is one of a kind in all genres of entertainment. It is also snoops best album because he did it without dre and definitely stepped his game up from Some immature teenage shit (which was doggystyle and also the chronic to be honest) to Some Grown up futuristic gangster shit which you can bump untill your seventy years old. Dj pooh defintely dropped Some futuristic funk and did Some ill scratching on it. Just imagine dre remixing it so it could sound sonicly like smooth from the dogg food album.

I agree with this, the expectation after Doggystyle was really high and without Dre the sound was different.
But listening back after years, it was a really good effort.
This thread got me playing the album over and over again in my album, still sounds so good in 2023.
