Ice Cube's 11th solo studio album on it's way -
“We’re almost finished with it, we’re about 85 percent finished with it,”
“We’re just doing the boring contract paperwork stuff. We got our plan to roll it out with a couple songs and then hit you with the album hopefully around May.”
“I’m working on an album that hopefully I can finish in next couple of weeks and schedule to put it out,” he said. “I’m digging what I’m doing. The name of the record is called Man Down, and, you know, it’s a pretty good record. I like it. It’s dope.”

Good news!!
Wait for it.

Hopefully Dub C is on a couple jams. A new Dub C album after Cube is much needed.

I hope there's a few bud'da productions, also T-Mix, Teak Underdue and Dj Pooh.

his last album was very underrated

mastering was a disaster.

his last album was very underrated
and not really good...

Wish he pulled out another Lethal Injection westcoast sounding like album. Not a big fan of the "Don Mega" persona he tried for so many years. Then he tries to pull out the militant "Amerikkkas Most Wanted" Ice Cube every now and then, but he's too worried about being cancelled to really go all the way with it. In this day and age i don't blame him. A Lethal Injection type album would be a safe bet and a fan favorite.

Dope. Any information about the producers?
-
mastering was a disaster.
it was ok, not as bad as suga free resurrection .. but there was some really dope joints on there

Back in 08 i went to see Cube in London. It was at this small venue called the Electric ballroom in Camden Town. I think back then Raw Footage had just come out. Most people left as he was an hour later than billed and it was a weekday so work or school next day I think he came on about 10pm. Tickets on ebay were about £40 for 2 people i remember I paid £80 which was still pretty cheap. I was always wondering why someone of Cubes stature was performing in such a smallish venue when i got there. It was my first (and last) concert. I was only about 5m away from the stage so pretty up close. But maybe it was all about the intimate gigs back then the artists wanted to do. Still I was happy, I got to see Cube in real life, WC and DJ Crazy Toones also which was great and rare for UK to get many hip hop artists coming over if at all except Eminem maybe. Snoops come since a few times and I do want to see him live one time but tickets these days are in the hundreds.
I need to catch him at one of these Bhangra shows one day!

I used to be obsessed with the whole “race” narrative in my Malcolm X phase but now I see it as a hoax just like globe earth and coward-19
…but aside from that I have to say Cube has aged well and not sold out like his homie Dre throwin up devil horns

Cube on the the musical style of the new album...
Just to wrap up then, what can we expect from you in terms of new music?
Ice Cube - “I think the new music is going to be amazing, especially for Ice Cube fans. I think the music is a little more soulful than people will know me by. My music is usually hardcore hip hop so it’s cool. It’s an examination of where we are today. There are some party records in there at the same time.”
We all need a good party these days. Where does the more soulful inspiration come from considering there is still a lot of frustration and anger in your music?
Ice Cube - “It’s always been in my sphere of music. I’ve used grooves before so just leaning into that a little more, I think that’s missing in today’s music, the flavor of today’s music. Everybody wanted to be on this, on this different kind of energy. It’s really time to get back to music that make you feel good. Even with the hardcore lyrics.”
-
I hope he's got tracks like Streets Shed Tears all over the new album.
That was my favourite from Everythangs Corrupt.

And then one day you'll be making posts saying "back in my flat earth phase".
