Wow some sicc cyphers on this. First 3 songs are crazy. :o
Thanks for posting.
Edit - Rap Music is my favourite.
Would like to hear a beat like this with fast flows from Rass Kass, Sccit, and Crooked with TQ on the hook. This album is dope :o
-
Is this their last one?!
-
Gotta appreciate the work rate and quality they put out. This is like the 6th collab album now from them It only feels like roughly a year ago since the online news of Joell going at it with Royce and Joe Budden over the Slaughterhouse fallout and since then we have had
-Rise and fall of Slaughterhouse
- Harbour City Vol 1
- JFKLAX
- Prospect
- Tapestry
-
Crook and Joell continue to pull the best out of each other. They both always seem so motivated when they work together. I hope this collaboration keeps going for the rest of their careers, because they keep getting better together.
-
The album is great per usual. These two sound like they are in their prime. Like mentioned above, every project has been stellar
-
Another West release! Crook & Joell are a great combo. Gotta check this. Thanks. 8)
-
No well-known producer, but still a dope project. Crook & Joell are always on point.
Fav tracks: "Rap Music" & "Boardwalk Park Place". 8)

Is this released on cd?

Is this released on cd?
i hope so!

Born & Rap Music are my favorite tracks so far, Crooked announced on IG that this is their last project together which sucks.
Crooked always seems to sound better on these collab projects than his solo's, hope he can focus the same energy into his next solo which would be classic.

Fuck. Really? That's so damn disappointing. Joell and Crook always brought the best out of each other. None of their solo projects are anywhere near as good as their collabs. Did he say why? Did they have a fallout?
-
we dont know why.
yet.

The more I think about this being their last project, the angrier I get. They completely torched the possibility of a Slaughterhouse reunion in 2022, but after listening to that album and their many interviews, you understood why and at least they were going to keep collaborating for the foreseeable future as a consolation. Now two years later, they're like, "Nah, fam. We done"? What the fuck is that? You trashed everything the four of you accomplished for some short term gains? This really makes me rethink the end of Slaughterhouse. Were Royce and Joe right? Did Crook and Joell really crap on Slaughterhouse for a bag? Either way, this album now really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

The worst album from this duo imo.

I just listened to JFKLAX, Prosper, and Tapesty back 2 back 2 back. The production sounds like one long album… 3 albums through.
Lyrically- 5/5
Production 2/5
The lyrics and overall storyline can make up for the lack of production. Good stuff Ill listen again.
These guys are monsters who need some good production behind them.

You know, that's a really good insight. That explains why I like this album the least of their collabs.

They released 5 albums together as a duo. People grow, want to move on, do other things. DPG did their own albums, Wu Tang did their own albums, Bone Thugs, etc. As far as I know, there's no drama or anything like that, just wanted to branch out and do other things. I respect that. Crooked I started out as a solo, this Slaughterhouse/Joell group project was a fun thing to do for a while, but I don't think his intent was to be thought of a group member the rest of his career.

Fine, but my point remains. Why did they have to completely trash any possibility of ever having a Slaughterhouse reunion? They could've just done their own thing, like they did with H.A.R.D. Instead, they destroyed Slaughterhouse, but said they would remain "brothers" and would collaborate together for a long time and then, bang, two years and it's over. So no more Slaughterhouse AND no more Crook/Joell. If they hadn't trashed Royce and Joe, there could've been future projects from the four of them. It just seems very short sighted, particularly from Crook and Joell who probably benefited the most from all the collabs, when you consider Royce is Grammy nominated and Joe is super successful podcaster.

I think you're taking it too literally. I took it as they were done making albums together and not to expect another one. They can still collaborate, do guest spots on each other's albums. As far as Slaughterhouse breaking up, that's been argued to death and i think they all agreed all 4 of them could've done things differently and they are all at fault. I appreciate the honesty to the fans of them saying "hey guys, there's no more Slaughterhouse". That's not trashing anything. It's done, it's the honest truth.
Plus you never know, it's easier to say something is done and never happen, then end up doing something years down the line. Rather than them saying yeah someday will do Slaughterhouse again, and then get bombarded with fans bothering them constantly asking when it's gonna happen, and they promised it was gonna happen, etc. Just kill any thought of it right now, then if some sort of reconciliation ever occurs, it'll be a nice surprise for the fans and not an expectation.
They already mislead the fans once by saying they were working on Glass House when it was DOA long before then, they don't want to mislead fans again.
