We all know that Dre often shelves albums, that part we know already. But what we didn't know is that we still should've gotten Thy Kingdom Come album over at Ruthless Records--which would have been great for West Coast hip-hop in 1998. It's a damn shame. King T said he asked to leave Death Row and he had a situation over at Ruthless to release the album and Dre wasn't really going to block anything, but Ruthless like fell apart before they could release it.

Leave Aftermath.

sounds about right
and oh yea, rbx was the first artist signed to aftermath .. slight correction there

King T is one of my favorite rappers of all time. He had the G shit we used to bump in the Cutlass. Lots of memories in the neighborhood with his shit playing. From Rampart to South Central to East Los. King T stayed in rotation.

What a depressing scenario. Imagine finally getting a chance to record an album with Dre and you actually finish it and it’s going to be released but then he then he finds the greatest rapper of all time lolllll

yeah, as I've said before it literally said in the Source Ad - IN STORES NOW.
...but that's life with Dr. Dre. Always the possibility you will get shelved. It is weird though. Cause you are like "yay, this is so great I'm working with Dre... oh shit, yeah, but it will never come out"

King T’s album should have been released in summer of 97’. It was DOA in 98’.

Yep, Eminem turned up and ruined everything :P

so who did eventually acquire the masters? was it ever deemed an official release by king tee (the turkey cover) - also how come it was now re-released with the all black cover? any backstory on it all would be great.
