Very good track - this is Snoop’s prime time for sure…
-
Snoop is doing a great job with the label right now. New artists launched like October London (even if it's been there for a while), I think we'll see Jane Handcock again, and DPG, Eastsidaz and now DB. I'm still waiting for Suga Free :) I remember Snoop's post calling Free @ Death Row ;D

Produced by Mike & Keys

Snoop is a REAL ONE for using DR to re-launch DPG, Tha Eastsidaz, Danny Boy, and who knows what else is next. He doesn't have to do any of this. Loyalty to his friends.
-
Cool jam. Thanks for posting.
Snoop really messed up the initial re-launch of Death Row as a NFT label, but I have to admit he's doing good moves lately. Love those mini movies they're doing for the Eastsidaz EP and October London's LP.
-
The song is fire. All parties including the producers, Danny Boy, and Snoop did a great job.
-
Good stuff here. This beat is almost begging for a Soopafly verse.
My only nitpick: less than 3mins? DB could've flexed a lot more of his vocals if given more time; he's clearly still got it.

Yes! We need a Death Row Suga Free album. Hopefully he's next on the agenda. Free's always been down for Snoop.

There is a video interview out there with suga free talking about his new album and how it is coming out on Death Row. This was at least 2 years ago though.

It would be good to see a Danny Boy album, especially if it resembles a close similarity to the previous 2 tracks - a retro sound with a modern twist.
Haven't bothered to check that Dogg pound one yet

Here's the instrumental, what a dope beat Mike & Keys did on this one. The vibe is just incredible! :o 8)

Nice little track, thought Danny Boy would be featured a bit more on it but cool to hear him and Snoop on a song together regardless.
Hopefully we get a Danny Boy EP or album while the momentum is there.

I doubt it, Danny Boy said he’s not signed to Deathrow, that they are just working together.
He probably have a deal somewhere else.
And Deathrow have 3 good singers on the label to focus on, October, Jane Hancock & Charlie Bereal

I would replace them three with Danny Boy.

Laughable because neither he nor I agree with your opinion? Are you a judge now? :hmmm:

Danny Boy better than October London and Charlie BeReal?
To me this is laughable, then again, I am a fan of urban culture and listen to R&B regularly, which might not be your case, so I understand the logic

This type of R&B is a princess music ;D (except for the OG's West Coast singers like Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy, etc), I hear man's music. I like the good and old boom bap, but if that's your case I understand your logic too. And yes, Danny Boy still better than that new bullshit singers. :dead:

What makes October London bullshit? I get the Nostalgia, but Danny Boy doesn't have the catalogue compared to October London. Yes he did "I ain't mad at cha" but what else? He is not marketable today

October London is an excellent singer. and Jane is good too. the 3rd I don't know well enough. But please, Danny Boy is a great singer. he didn't just make I ain't mad at cha... Even solo he has excellent songs... "Come When I Call", "Can t Get Enough" on Gridlock'd, the songs on Christmas on Death Row, the featurings he did on 2Pac albums, Murder Was The Case, the Twista album, the feats with Eastwood, Crooked I, his solo released by Wideawake was excellent!
and I also regularly listen to R&B

No denying that Danny Boy had his little run back in the days, it is also sad that he never reached stardom outside of Death Row. To me October London is well rounded and more established as an artist and singer, he has multiple projects to showcase is talent, he has music on the charts and he makes music for the ladies. Let’s not forget that Danny Boy recently came out as gay so his demographic may differ.

maybe it's nostalgia for the 90s... Danny Boy reminds me of the Death Row years... where R&B was different from today. For example I prefer "Its About Time" to "October Nights" or "The Rebirth of Marvin", even if Mullholand Drive is my shit.
-
I wish to get an R&B album by Death Row artists... like Butch Cassidy, October London, Charlie Bereal, J Black, Uncle Chucc (Rip), Danny Boy, Lil Half Dead, HeyDeon, Shon Lawon, Latoiya, Jane, Nefertitti and ofcourse some unreleased vocals by Nate Dogg

I hadn't thought about it but you made me want it to happen. lol
-
It took 30 years but we finally have the first DB and Snoop collaboration.
-
Did a HQ version of this song ever come out?
-
I listened to this song about 50 times in the last few days. :D
It reminds me of the good times of Miami Bass/Furia Funk. Congrats to DB, Snoop & M&K. 8) 8)
Off-Topic: and Xzibit - Been a Long Time, Pt. 2 & Tha Eastsidaz - Rag Tied. The best songs out this year IMO.

I prefer “favorite color blue” to “rag tied”
