he introduces his new team
01. I’m Ready – Jenn Em / nice Disco Vibe
02. Just Keep Movin’ – Point 5ve / nice vibe, What I don't understand is the name change
03. Wife Soul – Charlie Bereal / I'm excited for the album
04. I Can’t Waste My Time – Tha Engineers / nice vibe
05. Sooner or Later – Tonio Armani / kind of reminds me of Charlie Wilson
06. You Don’t Even Know Me – Philosophy / something different
07. Unbelievable – King George ft. Snoop Dogg / smoothe vibe
08. Special Kind of Fool – Danny Boy / not my sound
09. La Posada – Julian Torres y Mariachi Cenzotle / funny track
10. Christmas on Death Row – Death Row All Stars, Tha Dogg Pound, Jane Handcock / Of course it doesn't come close to the old school track, but it has a nice vibe, the track is listed as Death Row All Stars, Tha Dogg Pound, Jane Handcock
why don't they mention Charlie Bereal, Danny Boy, October London, Jenn Em, Tha Eastsidaz
11. Finally Free – Butch Cassidy ft. Lisa Carmichael & Lena Irving / Finally something comes out from the boy again, of course there is always a feat, but finally
Such a shame, after the release of his first album So Official I really had hope, then the HipHopDX interview and then silence for so long
But the whole wait was apparently worth it, Snooop would be really stupid if Butch didn't sign with Death Row
12. I Can’t Recall It – JANE HANDCOCK & Charlie / Jane makes her sound, don't celebrate everything, but really good tracks at the start, well and Charlie, the album is coming soon

I really don't think the project is that bad

I'm afraid Death Row will be now focused more on R&B artists - just like Suge would like to be.

Snoop Dogg And Death Row Records Stars Showcase Talents On ‘Death Row Revue’

In February 2022, days before he took the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show, hit-making rapper Snoop Dogg announced he’d acquired his longtime record label Death Row Records along with the rights to his masters. In the time since then, the label’s roster has been built out with former signees from the ’90s like Tha Dogg Pound, RBX, and The Lady of Rage and longtime Snoop and Death Row associates like Danny Boy, The Eastsidaz, Soopafly, and Warren G, as well as newer artists that have entered the Death Row orbit in recent years.

Now, the revitalized Death Row crew is sharing their wide range of sounds with the new compilation album Death Row Revue. The album’s release was preceded by singles like Jenn Em’s “I’m Ready,” on which Snoop Dogg introduces himself as the “host” of the album, and the Dogg Pound-starring “Christmas on Death Row,” sharing a title with the 1996 holiday album from the label featuring Tha Dogg Pound and Danny Boy.

Death Row Revue arrives less than one month after the release of Missionary, Snoop Dogg’s landmark twentieth studio album marking his reunion with longtime producer Dr. Dre. Snoop was inspired to revive the Death Row brand following a series of sales and acquisitions of the company over the past two decades following its bankruptcy in 2006. “It came about for me observing and watching Death Row Records be moved around, mishandled [by] different owners, and me just watching my legacy just fall apart,” he explained on the It Is What It Is podcast last month. He ended up purchasing his own masters and publishing in the lead-up to rebuilding Death Row over the subsequent two years, including the streaming release of all the music in the label’s catalogue.

Death Row Records, now under the stewardship of early signee Snoop Dogg, has dropped off their latest compilation album Death Row Revue.

Clocking in at approximately 50 minutes, the 12-track project features a new mix of industry icons and rising stars including Snoop himself, Charlie Bereal, Jane Handcock, Danny Boy, Jenn Em and more. Death Row Revue highlights the label’s diverse roster and the vibrant, feel-good sound of its new era, effortlessly blending the likes of Southern soul with R&B and grooves.

He's trying to introduce new artists.  I can't speak for the quality of the music and if you like it or not, but he needs youth and new artists to gain traction on his label.  Can't rely on Mac Shawn, Kokane, Daz and Kurupt forever you know.

I haven't listened to it, other than the track posted a few posts earlier (which sounds good) but I think it's the unknown, and the over saturation of garbage that's put out these days, especially by Snoop and other veterans, just deters me, and probably other long timers on the forums from even wanting to put the effort in to listen to these releases.

I don't think Snoop introducing new artists is a bad thing. I'm reminded of the Doggy Style Allstars back in the early 2000's. I think that was the start of Latoya Williams, and getting to hear more from those who were known, but didn't have a lot out - like the RBX's, E-white's, Soopafly's, and it was a nice compilation to hear. But this compilation has a lot of names many have never even heard of. They just need to market it better if it's going to be taken seriously, and slow down on the volume of releases. Having too much too soon isn't always a good thing

What really bothers me is that when it comes to finished tracks, Snoop always says I introduce or whatever babble I have, make an intro Snoop presents and that's fine, yes it's even on the compilation but then bring out the compilation and then everyone track as a single without your nonsense
