I've gave this a few listens over the last couple of days and Rage is good but I'm not sure the track fits her (beat, feature vocals)

yeah, she still spits.
-
Dope, she still got it! 8) 8)
-
she definitely still can spit 8)
one of the many disappointments back in the day was that by the time her album came out Death Row was pretty much on its last legs
it had some joints but overall was not what I was expecting from her either

Still amazing. Does anyone know why she could never get traction? She was great back with the LA Posse, amazing collabing with Dogg Pound and Dre. Did she have a poor work ethic? Could have been the best female MC of her time, just never released enough material.
-
This is ok. Better than anything on Missionary. And probably better than anything released in the last 5 years I'd say.

She's a woman, so that reduces her chances of success in hip hop, which is male dominated. Even then, when you think of the successful female rappers, most of them used sex appeal to attract attention, which Robin doesn't have, so that's a further strike against her. Finally, she had bad timing. Dr. Dre never produced an album for her on Death Row, and by the time she was ready to have a solo career, she didn't have anybody to go to bat for her. I also think you could argue that on a technical level she's a great rapper, but she's more of a guest artist than a feature artist given her lack of versatility in emotional range and subject matter.
So I think it's for all those reasons.

not really feel this one.
sorry

I think part of it too is that she's considered a West Coast artist and was affiliated with West Coast rappers, but she loves to rap over eastcoast beats. So westcoast fans don't like that, and eastcoast fans don't like that either.

This is cool, she is more successful as an actress anyway.

Thanks for sharing. I found it on Spotify. Definitely a different vibe. Rage can def still spit.
Has anyone ever heard Rage's album "VA 2 L.A." she dropped? I wish some of these gems were avail on steaming!
Boss Lady Entertainment isn't that Snoop's wife's company?
