Just ran into this cold joint by L.A. rapper EveryoneLovesIce—he’s from the Crenshaw District and dropped a raw street record called “The Introduction.* Feels more like a memoir than a single.
He lays out some real street history—talks about his brother movin’ weight with the Jamaican Posse, references L.A. godfather Harry-O, and shouts out Freeway Rick and Suge Knight too. He even mentions having late-night spiritual convos with producer Tone Toven, which adds a whole other layer to his mindset.
Big U gets brought up (his OG) along with the fact that he’s currently facing a RICO case. Ice doesn’t get messy, but the nod is there—and with Big U’s public beef with Wack 100, that part hits different if you follow the street politics.
And then there’s the part where 50 Cent showed love—not for Ice’s music, but for his hustle. That alone tells you dude earned stripes in real life.
