Calling all the audiophiles here, because i am not one.
Now that many instrumentals can be created by isolation through AI and Stems, will there still be value in actual instrumentals that come from CD singles and reels? If you were to isolate an instrumental from a lossless perfect file, would the instrumental come out that way as well? Or will the actual instrumental from the CD single still be better quality?
Just wondering if all of my instrumental files I've gathered from CD singles and other sources prior to the isolation method are worth keeping. Cause they take up a lot of space on my hard drive, and if creating a high-quality instrumental from any song is easy, then probably isn't worth saving the files anymore. What say you?

obviously if the instrumental needs to be isolated then it will be far worse quality ... loss of frequencies via artificial extraction etc.
it wouldn't even take an audiophile to recognize that
so yes, official instrumentals will still sound much better

yup AI created instrumentals are not perfect far from it, you can tell when you listen closely and depending on the track often not so closely.

Cool thanks. Yeah I see ads for these products and programs where all you have to do is click a button while listening to a song and the voices are gone, or a drum layer is gone and doesn't seem to be affecting the sound quality at all and i'm thinking, this can't be as good or easy as the ad is making it seem.
