Food in America doesn’t feel like food anymore, and people are starting to notice. From chefs with decades of experience to newcomers moving to the States, the same complaint keeps coming up: something is seriously off. A chef with thirty years in the kitchen says his ground beef doesn’t behave like beef at all—it smells strange, crumbles like putty, and cooks down into a suspicious mush. Instead of the natural strings you’d expect in ground meat, this looked like processed paste. At ten dollars a pound, customers aren’t just paying for questionable quality, they’re paying steakhouse prices for mystery meat.

If they removed everything from food that wasn't organic we would have a famine. It only appears that we have an abundance of food, we really don't.

I doubt the famine. I think we do have an abundance of food worldwide but because of how often its produced - the pricing is controlled. IF they removed everything that wasn't organic from the food, we would still have food.
