Game Recognise Game is amazing. Game 2026 talking to Game in 2006. Great retrospective song. I'm gonna listen to the rest of the album in the morn as its 2am here. But the few songs I've heard, very impressed.

After first listen this is up there as one of Game's best albums, 24 tracks with no real skips. Drake and E-40 features have no verse from either, not a Drake fan so I don't mind.
On the track "Nothing to Hide" Suge Knight calls in from jail at the end which is cool and the Black Thought feature is fire. Production on the album is amazing, but surprised he left the new track with YG off and "Like Father, Like Daughter".
Only track I wasn't feeling on first listen was "Party at Game's" feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR.

I can't get past the Bobby Caldwell sample that was used on Tupac's Do 4 Love track. The sample imho was used better on that record over this one. That aside Snoop and Game sound dope on the track.

Would of been better without the modern elements, but yew earns the title III.
Although a Compton rapper associating with Drake is a self inflicted L, add Kanye to that too...but hey we all know Game's a bit of jack ass of the mic as well.

The Game Takes Aim at Kendrick Lamar — and He Brought Drake With Him
After months of simmering West Coast tension, the veteran MC makes his feelings about Kendrick clear on his new album, with a little help from his biggest rival

Last night, Los Angeles rapper the Game released his latest album, The Documentary III, a sprawling 24-track epic in which the highly opinionated West Coast rap staple lets a few things off his chest. Featuring appearances from Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ye, YG, Black Thought, Larry June and others, the album also finds Game seemingly airing out some long-simmering feelings about none other than Kendrick Lamar. Most notably, he links up with Kendrick's most famous nemesis, Drake, on the track "No Brakes." (Drake ominously offers the hook, but no bars, alas.)
The apparent animosity has been bubbling for some time. Game and Kendrick were once publicly aligned: In 2011, Game joined Snoop Dogg and other West Coast veterans for a ceremonial passing of the torch to Kendrick. Things haven't gone so smoothly since. Recently, TDE's general orbit has appeared on podcasts and in interviews suggesting a hint of tension between the two going back to before any of Drake and Kendrick's public beef.

That all came into view during Game's July Verzuz battle with YG, where he performed his 2015 Drake collaboration "100" and paused to shout out the Toronto rapper. "I don't give a fuck how a nigga feel about it," he told the Los Angeles crowd. YG, of course, was in attendance at Kendrick's now-infamous Pop Out concert, apparently something of a veritable enemies list in Drake's eyes. He's also more generally aligned himself with the West Coast allegiances that played a role in Kendrick's feud with Drake. Game, for his part, seemed to bristle at the suggestion that being from Los Angeles requires him to fall in line behind Kendrick and turn on an artist he considers a friend.
The Documentary III arrives amid something of a renewed period of activity for Game. Earlier this year, he released Gangsta Grillz: E.M.N.T. — The Credits, an expanded edition of his DJ Drama and Mike & Keys project Every Movie Needs a Trailer. This new project marks his first proper studio album since 2022's Drillmatic — Heart vs. Mind and his first entry in the Documentary series since 2015.
For now, fans can only wonder if Game's shots, and especially his conspicuous Drake cameo, are enough to wake Kendrick, who, for his part, has so far declined to publicly engage with the speculation surrounding his relationship to much of anything.

Track 1. - Geezus, that's his best flow on the album...the bouncing chevy @ the start, the hawking birds, the chopped and cut up female singin, bumpin bass and that drop on the beat etc...all sick.
This levels better then the Kurupt album which sounds mid compared to this.

But for 24 tracks and then the third installment it's really weak. The Documentary 1 was..no, is a classic.
The second part was also rather disappointing. I found The Documentary 2.5 version better than 2.
But at the end of the day, it's all a matter of taste, of course. I just don't like most of the beats.

It's a dope album. People have to be honest with themselves and recognize that Game's discography is top tier and he is one of the Westcoast greats that knows how to put together a dope project.
The album did not need to be named as the 3rd iteration but I don't mind it. It's just a title...
To me, it's broken up into three parts: mixtape Chuck, Commercial/party tracks, and introspective tracks.

Kendrick Lamar Affiliates React To The Game's ‘The Documentary 3'

Kendrick Lamar's inner circle is pushing back on speculation surrounding The Game's The Documentary 3 track, "No Brakes," featuring Drake.
The song appears on The Game's The Documentary 3, released Friday (Aug. 21). Its lyrics immediately sparked discussion because The Game references Kendrick, Drake and the West Coast's complicated rap politics.
On "LA Monster," The Game raps about having "no problem with the boogeyman," an apparent nod to Kendrick's fearsome rap reputation. He also references a GNX, connecting the bar to Kendrick's 2024 album GNX and its West Coast identity.
The Game gets more pointed on "Geezus," the album's opening track. He calls Drake "the homie" while rejecting pressure for West Coast artists to choose between Drake and Kendrick. He later references "the GNX" while delivering a violent threat.
Then comes "No Brakes," where The Game raps, "Me, Drake and Drake, we the three amigos." He follows by saying, "If I have to pick a side, I'm choosing homicide." Given Kendrick and Drake's highly publicized feud, the lyrics quickly fueled theories about where The Game stands.
Kendrick's longtime associates, however, are arguing against that interpretation.
Top Dawg Entertainment executive Punch reacted after "No Brakes" surfaced, writing, "The World's really Gone Crazy," followed by laughing emojis.
Hitta J3, a longtime Kendrick friend, was more direct. He said the Game and Drake song "is not new" and "it's not no diss to Dot." He later added, "Game still A homie regardless what you hear he not gonna diss Kendrick."

5. 40 Nights (Ft. Kanye West & Mike Eyes)
I'm biased as f**k, but Ye's dusty drums and soulful production from his prime might be my favorite sound in hip-hop history. "40 Nights" brings that style back beautifully.
Besides the production, Ye makes a huge impact with a phenomenal chorus and verse where he speaks openly about being canceled and shows absolutely no interest in apologizing for who he is. It's one of his edgiest performances in a while.
As for The Game, he brings that same energy to his verses. He gets unapologetic about his love for Jewish people (which was a bit weird), talks about being comfortable in his own black skin, and references not wanting to find himself in a situation similar to Gucci Mane during his altercation with Pooh Shiesty (yikes). Overall, I think the track is just as controversial as it is good.
4. No Brakes (Ft. Drake)
There's a part of me that's fascinated to see how "No Brakes" ages because I could see its existence having some serious ramifications in LA, almost like the Lakers trading for Timofey Mozgov (That s**t f**ked up the franchise for ten years).
In the track, The Game makes his loyalty to Drake pretty damn clear, which naturally carries some weight given Drake's issues with Kendrick Lamar, one of L.A.'s biggest rap legends. Still, whatever drama comes from it, the actual song is tough. Drake keeps things hilariously simple by repeating "No Brakes" on the hook with his trademark out-of-breath swag, while The Game jumps between flows reminiscent of Kendrick on GNX and Drake on "2 Hard 4 The Radio." This one could have clubs going absolutely nuts, with a few people in Compton Boulevard rolling their eyes.
3. Geezuz
The Game made the right call opening the album with "Geezuz." From the very beginning, he establishes an underdog mentality while flexing the different flows he can still pull out of his arsenal, including a brilliant incorporation of Twista's flow from "Overnight Celebrity."
Additionally, the production has an eerie, dramatic quality that gives the record plenty of bite. All in all, this track is a fun way to let you know right away that The Game is going to be on some bulls**t throughout the project.
2. Do You Love Me (Ft. Cool & Dre)
I absolutely love The Game's constant desire to get his flowers throughout this project, and "Do You Love Me" might be the most direct expression of it. Riding over soulful Cool & Dre production, Game speaks on feeling blackballed, his reputation in the streets, and wanting unconditional love because, in his mind, he's earned that s**t.
His delivery is what really sells it for me. He goes through all of this without sounding desperate or overly emotional, almost like he's sitting back in his chair and casually testing the room to see if the love is real. This is REAL f*cking music, to me.
1. Run It Up (Ft. Leon Thomas)
Forget the smoke and all the juiciness for a second because "Run It Up" is simply a great track. It starts with incredibly rich, slick production that immediately deserves a chef's kiss, then Leon Thomas comes through with a strong performance that sets the mood for some smooth s**t.
The Game follows with some of his most polished verses, paying homage to his queen in ways that feel elaborate and grown. I love the overall presence of this record. It has that quality that can completely sweep true music lovers into its world.

I love that The Game spends so much of this album demanding his flowers because I'm absolutely one of those people who thinks he's one of the best rappers to ever touch a mic. At the same time, The Documentary III also reminds you why he can be such a frustrating artist.
The production on The Documentary III is as diverse as the Snowtime Lakers. You get flips of classic beats, cold California s**t, cinematic instrumentals, soulful production, and plenty of other sounds thrown into the mix. The Game adapts to all of them really well, constantly changing his tone, delivery, and flows. Yes, there are moments where it feels like he's biting, but there are other moments where it feels more like an unapologetic hip-hop fan showing love to the sounds and artists he genuinely enjoys listening to.
I usually hate when an album is overloaded with features, but the guest appearances aren't nearly as distracting here. Many of them either complement The Game, stay subtle enough to avoid taking over, or contribute to California posse cuts that fit the album naturally. Still, I'm disappointed we didn't get a Drake verse. I also could've done without The Game trying to turn this into Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR or throwing a random Snoop Dogg verse onto the strange remix of "Hate It Or Love It."
Whatever you think about The Game, his performances are rarely the problem. He keeps things interesting with sharp rapping, emotion, punchlines, and strong deliveries throughout the project. I especially love how unapologetically he asks for his respect, talking about everything he's accomplished, how the streets shaped him, and how competitive he remains after all these years. Though the very brief rollout of this album revolved around his tension with Kendrick, I love that there wasn't a boatload of sneak disses from him, just a few.
Of course, the gimmicky s**t is still here. "In The Way" with Tyga feels predictable, "Party At Game's" is whatever the hell that is, and "Steppers" is just stupid. But when The Game has a clear mission and actually locks into his vision, you get a reminder of exactly why he believes he deserves those flowers.

The third instillation of Game's classic album 'The Documentary' has arrived.

The Game adds another chapter to one of the most defining series of his career with The Documentary 3. The project serves as his 11th studio album and follows 2005's The Documentary and its 2015 sequel, The Documentary 2. Game had revealed through interviews that he wanted to revisit the series two decades after the project that helped establish him as a major voice in West Coast hip-hop. The Compton rapper has kept anticipation building in the years since. He recently battled fellow Compton native YG in a Verzuz, where the night was very memorable to say the least. The two also linked for the single "Red People." Later, Game confirmed that YG would appear on The Documentary 3. With the third installment, Game looks to continue the legacy of a series that has now followed him through more than 20 years of his career.
The 24-track project comes loaded with major names from across Game's career and the current West Coast scene. Drake, Ye, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Tyga, PARTYNEXTDOOR, YG, Leon Thomas, Black Thought and Larry June are among the guests, alongside Drakeo The Ruler, Lefty Gunplay, AZ Chike, RJmrLA and longtime collaborators Mike & Keys.

I am still enjoying the album.
But I think I have been bitten by the attention span of this generation, 24 tracks is just too long for me nowadays (embarrassed of myself)
One of the reasons I enjoyed Kurupt's album a lot, easy to put the whole album on repeat, I think 15 track should be max for albums nowadays.

it didn't seem as long to me
there were quite a few short tracks mixed in there
compared with an album back in the day if it would have had 24 tracks it would be close to a couple of hours listen

87 minute running time .. 7 minutes over
listening now.. he can still rap, but the overall sound is a step below documentary 2 and 2.5

Album is not bad. It is cool to see so many old school west coast artists drop albums this year, and I would rank this up there with Kurupt's and Too Short's last albums. Expecting the Game to drop anything close to the Documentary is just not realistic.

Album is too long but there's definitely some real gems on here.
