Snoop ain't innocent in all this. The stupid thing is that all these artists keep going back to work with him. Guarantee if Snoop called Kokane and said he needed some vocals, Kokane would do it. Same with Daz. If someone screws you and your friends over, stop working with him!
Reminds me back in the days of Dr Dre, when RBX, Sam Sneed, J-Flexx, etc. all said Dre screwed them, even made songs about it, yet they all went back to Aftermath and worked with him again, and again. Like get a clue guys.

Nate Dogg's brother, Sam Dogg, said in an an interview a few months back that Snoop went to their mothers house and convinced her to give him Nate's music which they were holding onto for his children.
Sam Dogg also gave Daz a shout out it in the same interview as a "real one". If Daz was able to present himself better online I think people would take his issues with Snoop more seriously, Snoop seems to be on some shady shit.

If its about Tha Last Meal, this would fall under Master P and Priority Records. Besides, what did Kokane do with all the exposure Snoop gave to him? Look at Fredwreck, he was able to expand his resume, Kokane was never marketable, and he never tried to update his craft, just like Ceelo did with Gnarls Barkley.

If he did alot of songs and they are unreleased in Snoop's possession and there is talk of Snoop selling his catalog, he has a right to know where the money is going to go.

P lost the rights to NL music a long time ago to his producers.

He who pays for the studio time owns the reels or recorded, owns the masters, that’s the parts artist don’t understand.
Get your paper and business right. If he didn’t have his business right there then don’t cry now. It’s been years since tha last meal, tha Eastsidaz and dogghouse days. Very good music he had there but from my understanding he chose to leave and was given no debt to recoup the music.
Not sure if it’s bad music but you can’t always walk away with out paying your debt to music and expenses. If kokane signed another deal with any other label after dogghouse typically that label also has to pay his red debts at dogghouse. That didn’t happen.
That’s what No Limit paid Death Row what they felt he owed and or could have made the next few albums.
It’s business he left debt free. His choice.

Owning the rights to the master recording doesn't mean you can release it and not have to pay the copyright holders. That's why there is a fee pay to the master recording owner and a separate payout for the copyright owners (producer/rapper) when dealing with song placements in movies, tv etc. As long as he has the copyright he's supposed to get paid something. If a split sheet was done back then or not to say who should get what, that doesn't change the fact that he has ownership in the song and rights to get paid.

publishing is rightfully owed to the writer (50%)/producer (50%) on every track

the point is snoop's name makes your contrubition reach to millions of people all around the world. so dont expect 50/50 royalties. if you do the same song by yourself, nobody would be interested in it except of a few core fans.

same as daz, if there was no dr. dre or snoop dogg, he wouldnt be where he was today.
BUT it is also obvious that snoop is kinda being snoop knight really. it happened with 213 album too, he didnt want warren-g to have production on album because he doesnt give %50 of his production royalities to snoop like others do. because of snoop's greed we listened to a 213 album without warren g production and 2 dogg pound albums without daz production.
Snoop always says Master P let him has his royalities %100 and let him be a boss while he doesnt have to do it. Snoop doesnt do the same thing for people around him.

Yeah that's great that Snoop put some of these guys on 30 years ago. That means they're indebted to him the rest of their lives and every song they release Snoop should get a cut? Guess what, Dre put Snoop on. And Eazy put Dre on when he was nothing but a flunkie in the World Class Wrecking Crew. Most of the time someone puts somebody else on, that's how it works. That's not an excuse to extort them the rest of their lives. I'm sure Daz and Kokane are very thankful for Snoop giving them a chance back in the day, they've said as much. But they aren't going to sit there and allow Snoop to extort them either.
You could totally look at it from Daz's side too. He contributed a lot on Chronic and Doggystyle. Vocals and helping to produce uncredited. Guarantee he did it all for free or for very little money back then to help get this thing going. Suge even said that was how it worked on Death Row. Everyone would be on a team and push for someone's album. Then when it was time for your album, everyone pushed and helped you out. Now if Daz wasn't in the picture, would those 2 records have been as successful? Probably. But still, if I were him, i'd make a case for the idea that I was an integral part of putting Snoop on back in the day.
