Title: Best of Mobb Deep
Post by: NewJack on May 30, 2003, 02:53:51 PM
I was never really into 'em, but I been listenin' to 'em alot recently and wanted to make a mix of their best songs. I already got a few on my mind I wanna put on it, but I definitely don't have enough for a full CD. Any1 mind helpin' me out? I jus want a list of like 25 of their best songs, then I'll d/l 'em all, give 'em a listen and make the CD from there. Any help's appreciated, thanx.

I'ma make a similar album myself..
I have all the old shit, so it's gonna be mostly new shit..

Quiet Storm - Old, but sounds new.. and classic
Shook Ones pt.2 - Old, but sounds new.. and classic

New tracks:
Get Away
*Live Foul (Scott Storch made this banger)
*Matic Clips (Mobb redoes "Magic Stick" gangstastyle)
*Gun Sling (Brand new, and hot as fuck.. Prodigy does the chorus in Jamaican!!)
*Get Shot the fuck up (From the new Kay Slay album.. classic Mobb shit)
*Solified - Another banger from their latest tape
*Paid in full - Havoc kills a sweet as fuck beat.. hottness dunn!
*Favorite Rapper - Starts slow, but it's a killer track.
*The Illest - First single from their Murda Mixtape, and Havoc kills the DOPE Alchemist-beat
Air it out - Mostly Noyd, but Havoc does the chorus.. dope Mobb-shit, but mostly Noyd
*Mobb Niggas feat. Infamous Mobb - Dope anthem.. the whole Infamous crew..
*Nothing like home - A slower, but still awesome Mobb-track, with a sweet Alchemist-beat

* = Must have

"G.O.D Pt. III (Remix)" is one of my favorite mobb deep tracks.

It's hard to get G.O.D. on Kazaa cuz of the periods, I'll check a bunch of alt spellings later tho. Thanks Jome, nice list.

Matic Clips is fuckin' hot, but I can only find the version with a homo DJ. He shouts out shyt all over the place, the 1st 30 seconds of the song is hard to decipher because of his rambling. Do DJs think people want to hear them screaming pointless comments? This is really starting to get to me recently, DJ's ruining songs over and over. I guess they just can't realize that the best DJ's are the ones who keep their mouths shut.
