I'm obviously a sucker for nostalgia, but aside from Maverick (Top Gun), most of these remakes/sequals they do are huge disappointments, for example:

Beetlejuice 2
Ghostbusters remake
Masters of the Universe (predicting it will suck) 2026
Happy Gilmore 2
Gladiator 2
Wizard of Oz recent remakes

Ghostbusters 2016 sucked but I thought Ghostbusters Afterlife 2021 was pretty good. Havent seen the Frozen Empire 2024 one yet

As for Spaceballs... I didn't even like the first one. Not a big Star Wars fan so it might not have been for me
