Yeah he looks hispanic in that pic...I guess no one will ever know for sure...unless he says what his race is...

Yup.. I'm pretty sure he's Hispanic... I alwayz thought so..


I'm pretty sure I heard a  skit on their cd where he's speaking spanish.. and I've heard him rap in spanish... and look at his last name... that's spanish...



Maybe Mos Def has rapped a couple lines in spanish too but you can tell he doesn't speak it fluently... but then again look at his facial features.. he looks like he might have a lil latino in him too.. who knows.

OK, I was taking the piss when i said Mos Def was also hispanic because he has rapped in spanish a bit as well because he learnt some in high school, not because he has hispanic blood in him. And I was told by some die hard Dilated Peoples fan who knew everything about them that Ev was Italian, and his surname could easily be Italian, not just hispanic. Maybe he's actually a bit of both?

i read in an interview....Evidence stated that he was part Puerto Rican, part Russian, and part Italian.  He then stated that even though he is mixed up, he says that he considers himself culturally Italian-American.  So there you have it...later
