i'm just bumpin it again to get in the mood for my warren interview, and damn, this album is on point!
hot beats, tight guest features...
to the people who didn't like this, what was your problem with it??
-
I've always been wondering the same...it's a TITE album.
-
That's what I've been wonderin' ever since I heard that shit. The album's hella tite, no doubt.
-
its very average...all the production sounds way to similar...at times you cant tell if you even changed the track...warren didnt sound all that great on the mic...for me it collects dust after 2 weeks 8)

all the production sounds way to similar
cause warren doesnt have much guest producers. i think thats how a warren g album should be.
-
I like this album, and I thought it was really dope when I d/l the advance, and I was bumping it on my computer constantly, especially the song Streets of LBC. Then the album dropped and I bought it and really didn't listen to it much. Guests are tight, production is good, I always like to hear warren rapping, but there is just something missing. I am not sure what it is, but is is just missing some flair, but it is still a good album.
-
IMO, the beats are pretty bland and boring.
-
Yeah, I always loved this album..
The only thing I dislike, is how a lot of the beats sound too similar..
And even if the production is dope, I think Dre could have improved it easily, because Dre's bass hits a bit harder than Warrens does.
Another thing that could be said, is that Warren G isn't exactly a dope lyricist, but his tales of G'ing in the streets is kinda coo..
A solid 4.25 mic album, or maybe 4.5

ya its a tite cd i remember gettin it and bumpin the hell outta it..... this nate doggs cd and mack 10s cd al came out the same time so i bumped those3 4 a long time str8...... but ya its a tite album Dres beat wasnt 2 great i thought but Warrens Beats were hella tite cant wait 4 the new cd of his

very average album. He wasnt sayin anything new on the mic. Jus the same ol boring subject matter that has plagued rap for the past few years with the exceptions of a few songs. 3/5 average album nothing more nothing less

When I put on a Warren G cd, I'm not lookin for dope lyricism, I'm not lookin for different styled beats, I'm lookin for straight G-Funk. And he always brings it. I was JUST listening to "Return of the Regulator" in my car, and the shit bumps. I had heads turnin, people dancin in the streets, old ladies waving at me, bitches askin for my number, lol, but for real, I can put that cd on at a party, and it'll play right through. 10 outta 10 album.
-
i love this cd
a 3 min. intro! probably the best beat on the entire album
peace

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
damn u read my mind, the intro beat is the best beat on the album, too bad it was kinda wasted even though it does go on for like 3 minutes, the production is aight but just does not measure up to his first 2 albums, however I like this album way better than "I want it all", but seriously this album is dope but at times average
-
The album is not as bad as people made it seem to be, but then again, it wasn't good either. Just an average album. I think people just expected something better because of the "Regulate...", and had very high expectations.
-
I never liked this album. My problem with it was, the beats were far too bland and repetitive for my taste, and Warren's performances on the mic were just miserable. He has simply no charisma as a rapper, and should just stick to producing, IMO. I enjoyed the album for good week or so - then never bothered with it again. The only song I really liked was "Yo' Sassy Ways" (f/ Snoop & Nate), which to Warren's credit was incredible and arguably a classic. Overall I would give it 3 mics - it was a huge disappointment. Hopefully Warren will improve on his next album.
-
I think people need to take another listen to "Lookin at you", that's a classic song right there. Warren was AMAZING on the mic.
