I loved the Horseman track that was on Canibus 2001 album — but I'm not aware of any other good tracks from them so let me know a couple of their standout cuts and I'll check them out

the lyrics from that track were freestyled over the "Hip Hop Junkies" beat and released on a white label in '98..it was later later remixed and the new version was called "Horsmentality" on Canibus 2nd album

Diddy is good for the list though in the same way someone like Suge would be on the list — not for rap skills but lifestyle — I still remember my depression summer of 97' seeing Puffy on the cover of Rolling Stones and it said "the new king of rap"
And then of course now he got swept up in the me-too craze and Cassie decided to destroy his whole life when apparently the treatment was okay for her until one day some lawyer probably gets ahold of these people and says "you were abused now let's go make some money"
