Richard Wright's 1940 novel Native Son. The character Bigger Thomas, a black kid from Chicago, kills the white daughter of the family he works for and goes on the run. Fucking amazing novel - way before its time. Cop it. Oh, by the way, that Non-Fiction is unbeliveable, am I right? Slept on but five stars all the way for me...
