we are lucky to get one classic album a year in rap. in the 80's an up into around 97-98 so many classics dropped. this my reason why i think there is so few dropping. the number of producers on the album. u look back in the day at the most u would have like 3 different producers an most of the production was handle by one guy. now u got like 7 different producers working on an album. the album has no sound as a whole 2 it b/c every song has a completely different feel 2 it now. u got producers that have completely different styles

Nah, what it is is the classic albums were pioneers, they were taking funk and r&b and rock and making something new. Everybody out now is already in an established medium, so they're just copying what everybody else did, so it's not classic. That's why most rock sucks now, too.

most hiphop is no longer original and too many rappers are worried about what other people think.
