He's from South Central. Make sure to get his album, it's very smooth. It has the good old west coast flavour.

Mr.X, Xavier Thomas, is Sean "Barney Rubble" Thomas' brother. They formed a group called Rappinstine, affilated with Ruthless Records in the 80's. They released an album "The Ultimate Creation" in 1991 on Warner produced by themselff and fearuring artists like Jewell Peyton. During this era, the Death Row affiliated producer and DOC's friend, Erotic D, asked Sean Barney Thomas to work with him on different material, especiially his project titled "Life Afta Death" group. Released in 1992, the album, "The Death Penalty" was released worldwide on Erotic D's label, Crimescene Records (distrubuted by Solar Records). Sean Barney Thomas appeared for the Keyboards. Then, Erotic D presented Sean to Dr Dre in order to produce sound and keyboards for Death Row Records, then, he also worked with Chris "The Glove" Taylor and second PBL album. That's why Rappinstine never came back together. So Xavier "Mr.X" Thomas began a solo carreer and released in 1996 his selftitled album also produced by Death Row affiliated producer, musician and engineer : QDIII, Ricky Rouse & Dave Aaron. The album was made with the Active Crew : Chattabox, SWOZO, YSOT, Rodg and Young Hogg.

You can also download the single "Flossin" released in 1996 on Jungle Records :
