From MTV.com...
HOLLYWOOD Snoop Dogg's most prolific attribute these days is his politicking technique. You name it, he has a hand in it. He's down with 50 Cent like he's down with the color blue, he just got off the road with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, he has a show on MTV and he just might spend a considerable amount of time in the studio with his good friend P. Diddy during the next few months. The Dogg says there's a possibility that his dog may executive produce his next album.
"Maybe," Snoop said while walking the red carpet at Tuesday's BET Awards about the possibility of Diddy helming his album (see "BET Awards Night Belongs To 50 Cent, B2K, Jacko And ... Alien Ant Farm?" ). "I'm down with Puff like that. We're coming together on a record or something in the near future. Me and Puff gonna sit down and try to make it happen. It's gonna be more than a track."
We'll see the first of Snoop's dream collaborations sooner than that. The D-O-double-Gizzle, who'll be joining 50 Cent on the Roc the Mic Tour in early July (see "50 Cent Takes Out Old Blue Eyes [Again], Jay-Z R-O-Cs The Mic At Tour Kickoff" ), just shot the video for a track he did with the Queens MC.
"It's already done," Snoop said about the video shoot for the "P.I.M.P." remix, which went down earlier this week in Los Angeles (see "Can 50 Cent Handle A Pimp Cane? Snoop Himself Can Now Judge" ). "We just kept it pimpin'. Ain't nothing to it but to do it. A lot of beautiful girls, lot of action, lot of activity. I just like [50's] heart and soul. I like his energy in the rap game. He brings a lot of good things to the table. He's the new thing, I'm a G in the game and for me and him to get together shows love and unity."
Snoop, who recently put out a CD made strictly for the underground, Welcome 2 Tha Chuuch Vol. 1, said 50 helped him get his mixtape game on track.
"It's the hottest mixtape on the street. I wanted to expose my artists and show [the public] that we could do that also on the West Coast," the Dogg explained. "50, good lookin' on showing us how to do it."
Maybe 50 can pick up a couple of performance pointers from his 10-year-veteran friend while on the Roc the Mic Tour. Snoop says his set on that outing will be different from his gigs on the recently completed Red Hot Chili Peppers tour (see "Snoop, Chili Peppers Play Heaven's Waiting Room" ). "I have to cater my show for the audience I'm performing in front of," Snoop explained. "It's gonna be a bit harder for the hip-hop crowd, but for the rock and roll crowd, I put on a hell of a rock and roll show."

Snoop LP exec. produced by Puffy? NO! :'( Thankfully (IMO) nothing is set in stone yet. I do think that they could make a hot album together, but damn it, Snoop should stick with the west! It's when he's at his best IMO...
-
.Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. "God i want you to help Snoop. It seems that he has gone crazy" ;D
-
no way...not puffy :P
-
I hope he was joking.
-
Maybe a track.... but an album?

-Big BpG
-
i dont mind them doin a few joints together but for him to exec produce snoops next joint and produce alot of it!?!?!!? fuck no! diddy aint half the rapper snoop is and has neva dont nuttin snoop has done so why the fuck is he ex producin snoops next joint?!?! luckily it aint set yet so hopefully he'll realise that non of his fans want this to happen......
peace
-
i hope it was only a joke.... i think he should work wit quik.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
let's see how the snoop dickriders explain this one...
either that or you'll start seeing threads on how hot p. diddy is and how he's the best producer
-
Damn what the fuck is going on in snoops head, why would
he choose diddy over dre??? I think all those years of
smokin' weed has fucked snoops mind.
-
Snoop can work with who he wants 2.
-
you're right....he can work with anyone, like avril lavigne...98 degrees, dixie chicks....doesn't mean i'm going to buy his cd when it comes out. i'll save my money for when he gets his head right and starts giving his fans what they want to hear.....some westcoast music
-

Don't forget the 213 album ;) He's been givinig out one album that didn't sound westcoast(except that wack-ass no limit album) and y'all hating on him, just 'cause he said he'd wanted to make something that sounded fresh. He's always said that he'll get back to the westcoast sound so chill man..

Couldnt agree more
-
snoop likes to explore new things on his lps....he keeps it westcoast with the homies on group albums like 213 and tha eastsidaz.......i don't wanna see diddy executive produce it but i wouldn't mind seeing him do like 2 tracks for real, the i think the songs would probably come off alot harder than the neptunes.
btw you never know maybee puf would only produce like 2 songs and might advice snoop to keep it hard core cause thats what he's best at
-
I aint mad at Puffy for doing his thang but you cant be the one to hate and laugh at Death Row for workin with Murder Inc and later say Snoop can work with whoever he wants and its all cool.....I think its wrong for both to work with them cause they should fuck with the real or keep it westcoast.
-
typical..snoop the sellout..does whatever it takes to try to sell records and be hip
-
diddy is worste than neptunes
-
WTF Snoop?
-
Snoop is a clown....did you guys see him on Jay Leno
If Snoop wants to sell albums he should join G-Unit ;D
he was cool in DJ Whoo Kid G-Unit Radio Pt.6 Smoking Day Pt.2 2003 [Snoop and G-Unit]
G-Unit DPGC OOOO-WEEEE
-
good lord whats next. Rap music is headed to a dead end. I am afraid we have heard the best we will ever hear.
-
don't trip exec producer does necessarily mean producing the whole album it just means he would be guilding the album, i certainly wouldn't like to see diddy rapping on it but i'm not mad at exec prod.
goes n bumps some biggie tunes
-

Shiiit I REALLY doubt he even had the opportunity to choose Dre. We all kno the deal with Dre, he has like 6 albums that are supposed to be out within a year...he wouldn't even think about ex. produce Snoop's album for like 3 years
-
lol, snoopa aint gonna get puffy to produce for him.
he just sayin that to show love. but it aint gonna happen for real
-
Let's see if this really happens before jumping to any conclusions...
Remember back in the day when Snoop said Kid Rock was gonna be on his new album and he did a couple of songs with him? Kid rock wasn't on ptctbtb...
Also remember back in the day when he was talking about how him and Jay-Z were gonna get together and make a best of both coasts cd? Whats happened with that?
I'm sure that there's more shit like this but I'm forgetting about it.
Time will tell, but don't take everything an artist says as the gospel.
-
snoop needs to stop fuckin with these wack ass muthafuckas and get back with dre...
-
Oh well, it cant be worse than the beats Neptunes gave him.. not possible.
What's next.. getting Rodney Jerkins or Max Martin to produce his next LP after that again.. ?
-

He'll get you on board with a Premo Beat & a Pharoahe guest spot...

Would be dope, but it doesn't sell.. :(

Thats why we need to let him do his thing with those pop guys and make his loot, so that we might get a Pharoahe colab as "filler" on the album, but cats like me & U would luv...

The thing is that in this thread we have all come up with much better ideas for tracks than P Diddy will. I think Snoop should let WCC executive produce his next album.
-
Shit y'all should stop worrying wether or not Snoops album
will sell, cause me as a fan I don't want an album that just
sells cause it's got so and so on the record, I want it to
be off the hook you know what I'm sayin'
-
I could care less, I'd probably like it anyways, I ain't got hangups on what coast people are from. Puffy's stuff ain't that bad, maybe something good'll come out of it, Snoop might sound good over puff's beats.
-
yeah, remember, Executive Producer and Producer is not the same. Master P was executive producer on Tha Last Meal and No Limit Top Dogg, and those are still, two of Snoop's best albums.

yeah and If It Happen Puffy will be in charge of the promotion & shit
-
And that could actually be positive.
-
Snoop is trying to shake things up.
-
Looking back at this thread makes you feel like you're in the twilight zone.
If you had asked 2 weeks ago what people on here think about P.Diddy, you would have been booed and dissed, and told to fuck off.
But when associated with Snoop... he's suddenly a very good producer, and some people are actually cheering Snoop's decision.
I bet the reactions would have been the same if Irv Gotti was scheduled to executive produce his LP.
For sure 99% of the people on here hate him, but if he was linked with Snoop, 60% would suddenly switch sides..
It's funny as hell.
