In the following order, I think:
Mick Foley
Ric Flair
Hulk Hogan
-
as the total package from in ring skill 2 mic skills its shawn michaels an ric flair
-
Mick Foley
Hulk Hogan
Ric Flair
Jimmy "Super Fly" Snuka
Shawn Michaels
Bret "the hitman" Hart
-
Also, I think Shawn Waltman (aka XPac etc) should get an hon mensh. He got injured almost as many times as Mick.
Stone Cold as well, the Rock doesn't quite get it because...well...just something about it him loses points. And he can't wrestle as well as you would hope for his build.
-
Oh yes, I forgot Stone Cold :o...He's definately one of the greatest in my view...
-
Dusty Rhodes ;D

The Undertaker
Sting
Bret Hart
And soon to be greats:
Kurt Angle
Brock Lesnar
Randy Orton
John Cena
Sean O'Haire
Chris Benoit
-
Bret Hart
HBK
Undertaker
Ric Flair
-
Best (in their primes):
Bret Hart
Hulk Hogan

Professional Wrestlers are entertainers, the man that has entertained the best over the years is
Hulk Hogan
He has charisma, mike skills, an incredible physique, a great memorable look, and has always lived and breathed the classic "good vs. bad" comic book persona, he's the greatest professional wrestler of all time. He's so good, that even with subpar wrestling skills, he STILL became the most famous wrestler in the world. That speaks to his charisma more than anything.
Ric Flair is #2, he had nearly as much charisma, and much better wrestling skills, had a pretty good look, and not a very incredible physique. I think he probably didn't get exposed to the public as much as Hogan, either, or maybe he would have been the greatest ever.
By the way, Ric Flair says all the time that Hogan's the greatest, and a couple months ago someone asked Hogan if Flair was on his level, Hogan replied No, nobody was on his level. LOL. So I guess they're both in agreement.

I come from a different sub generation than Ronnie, and so grew up with an aging Hulk Hogan who eventually went to the WCW. I grew up watching DX break up and make up, Mankind and the Firm, the return of Cactus Jack, etc...
And so...my favourite ever wrestler, and the best in my experience. Mick Foley. Toughest son of a bitch ever. Brave, and actually had decent wrestling skills. Was one of the most humane (even when as a heel) and realistic character actors ever in sports entertainment.

shawn michaels hands down for me
also i got to give it up for
undertaker
bret hart
Hogan
-
bret hart will always be the greatest.

undertaker
the orignal Undertaker tho. Like when he first came in the game, and would jus sit up everytime he was knocked down. THEN, he was tight...this new undertaker is trash.
-
I never rated ric flair 1 bit. Every match seems to be the same

Kane does that now. On Monday on RAW...damn that shit versus HHH was tight. And him chokeslamming Randy Orton and then RVD...My heart would have wept if it was real. I remember when he did a handicap versus Big Show/Undertaker when they mashed up XPac. That was the shit. Two great matches.
Kane can actually wrestle well for a big guy...whereas Kevin Nash and Big Show suck donkey cock.

You guys ever notice in threads like "the greatest" blah blah blah... people always come in, and most of them just list somebody different than who's been mentioned to be different?

Of course. But who in this thread has done that? ;)

Andre The Giant
Hulk Hogan
the first Undertaker
kane
austin (use to be)
the rock (use to be)
i dont know yall, back in the day WWF was hella tight
-
The Ultimate Warrior (hehe while he lasted) <anyone know anyting bout him now??
yea he went insane. he legally changed his name to the warrior. an his last short stint in wcw he would make up imaginary words
-
Zach Gowen...he's undefeeted...an...one legged
-
The Warrior legally changed his name to the Ultimate Warrior so that no one esle could ever use it without paying him.
-
This is very WWF dominated
And Trauma I'm about to do what you said lol
Jushin Thunder Liger and The Great Sasuke are the greatest skill wise wrestlers ever.
American wrestling - Hogan was never ever any good in the ring - he was shit
Flair was phenomeonal, but over the last 10 years he has destroyed his legacy
Bret Hart was a bit one dimensional
Undertaker - apart from 1997 - are you kiddin me?
The two best ever, in terms of the total package - pure entertainment are:
Shawn Michaels (not anymore - '89 - '97)
Mick Foley
Michaels was the greatest all rounder in the history of the WWF
Mick Foley went through about two straight years, when the only point of watching a WWF pay per view was to see what ridiculous thing he was going to do next.
-
The single greatest wrestling moment, to me better than Hogan slamming Andre, was Mick jumping off the Cell...Such devotion to duty.
-
The Dynamite Kid is one of the greatest pure wrestlers of all time. And Ric Flair hasn't embarrassed himself in the lst 10 years. And The Undertaker has had some great matches since 1997 and he has had some great matches within the past year. The Jeff Hardy Ladder match last August, and the Hell in the Cell vs Brock Lesnar. And it looks like it will be The Undertaker vs John Cena at Vengence and that will be a great match.
-
The Undertaker had a great year in '97, although he was carried at times by Michaels, Hart and Vader. But he is nowhere near the upper echelon of great ring performers. Name 3 classic matches he had between 1991 and 1996. It was gimmick time, beating any freak Vince tossed his way in casket matches.
At the time of Mick Foley falling off the cell I honestly thought he was dead.
-
My actual favourite Foley moment was him leaving the ring on a stretcher, blood pouring from his face, with him grinning and lifting a fist in triumph.
-
At the time of Mick Foley falling off the cell I honestly thought he was dead.
Yeah, ha, me too! We used to watch every month, and go "Man, he's dead. He just killed himself". We actually thought he was gonna take it too far. By the time he got to the point where he fell through the mat that time, he was starting to take it easy, though.
He took a bad bump last month, somebody kicked him off the apron and he hit the cage HARD.
-
He went too far in the Hell in the Cell vs Taker, and against the Rock (although it was the Rock's fault) in the I Quit match, and in WCW when he let Vader powerbomb him on concrete (lol).
-
Mick was a crazy mofo.
-
Stop Bad Mouthing The Undertaker. He was one of the reasons that the WWE didn't go out of business when WCW was kicking the WWE's ass in the ratings. The Undertaker is one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling, he can still have great matches at 40, and he doesn't mind putting over the youngers because he knows the future of the business depends on those youngsters.
-
Mick was a crazy mofo.
haha fo sho
-
rocky miavia, (spelled worng,)
ps. wrerstiling is soo gay
-
Lets see you do what they do. I bet you 10 seconds into a match would'd be running & crying for your mother. then we'll see if you still call wrestling gay.
