Yo... I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get that shack album that was released in Japan... I dont' really wanna download it off kaaza becuz the quality wouldn't be shit... anyway, if anybody could hook it up I'd appreciate it...
-
I'd like to know too....why did they only release it in Japan ???
-
i think it wasnt released here because the label they were on folded right after they released that album in japan thus it was never released here, however i find it stupid how it was released over there first instead of here >:( i have been trying to find this album too, i once ordered it from amazon.com for like 35 bucks but canceled my order after 1 month, it wasnt in stock so shit i dont know where to find it
-
i ordered mine at cdnow.com back in the days...they didnt got it in stock, but after 6 weeks the copy arrived. i was about to order few more copies, but they wasnt able to get more.

Well you see in some area's in Japan Foesum got alot of love, even more then in Cali, many dont know that but Foesum is a like a NWA in Japan.
-
Hey Gfunka you still don't got the album do you... if so rip that shit for us and I will get it posted...
-
The Japanese love anything that is laid back and kinda funky like the Dove Shack so groups like that have a lot of support over there. For instance, UK artist Funky DL records three quarters of his album sales in Japan just because they love his more melodious style.
Here is a link to an online Japanese record store that ships to the UK, so I assume they also ship to the US.
http://www.nextrecordsjapan.com
Their site itself is all in Japanese so you can't get anywhere on the site itself. But this part in is in English:
We can ship internationally. Please e-mail us with your order.
We will return the e-mail about shipping and total amount upon confirming the stock.
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Master).
sorry, we don't accept any other methods of payment for orders from overseas.
The details can be described in the e-mail.
Their e-mail address is info@nextrecordsjapan.com
So if you e-mail them and ask if they have it you may be able to get the album that way.

Yeah you can compair them with NWA, I mean Foesum was the first G-Funk group that made serious impact on Japan just like NWA back in the day, maybe in a small way but they really made some impact on Japan in their style "G-Funk". So they basicly introduced G-Funk to japan like NWA brought Gangsta Rap to the US.
-
which label was it released on?...
-
gfunka has that one og...

its track 10 - Sorry We Keep Ya f/ Nate Dogg (aka The Dove Shack Is Back)

K, thanks. It confused me cause Nate Dogg wasn't listed as a featuring on the scan of the back cover.
-
