The goonies for me people.  Chuldrens adventure at its best.

I am really into the 80's period of films when everything was original.

Big
back to the futures
Star Wars
Rocky(s)

Yeah.... all the 80's movies were classic.  Before special effects and big hollywood budgets ruined the industry.

agreed.  I hate films where I can look at it and go that cars fake, that person was 3d and shit, wreaks the film. Perfect example of this is DEEP BLUE SEA.  When the shark is attacking and shit, you know that a dude has sat there for hours making that shark go backwards, just bores me.  At least with films like jaws when you did get to sea the shark it was scary and realistic.

I don't think you can label one movie as the all time greatest. How good a movie is depends on your mood and what you're actually looking for in a movie: a scare, a laugh or whatever. you would never be able to look at a movie and go: "shit, that was a great fucking movie. It made me laugh, cry and shit myself". Also, what one person thinks is funny/scary/cool might be the same for another person. We each have a personal perseption of what's okay in a flick and what's out of line.

Some of my favorite movies:
Bamboozled
Se7en
The Big Lebowski
Lock, Stock & Two Smokin Barrels
Scarface
The Shawshank Redemption
The Usual Suspects
and oh yeah (of course):
The Godfather pt. 1

Hard to choose just one, but if I was to pick one it would be out of this list:

Pulp Fiction
Boyz N The Hood
The Godfather 1 & 2
Scarface
The Usual Suspects
The Untouchables
Kids
Stand By Me
Boys Don't Cry (extrodinary film, expected to hate it but it's a must see, if only for the direction)
Fallen
Resevoir Dogs
Star Wars (all of 'em)
Rebel Without A Cause
Halloween
Texas Chainsaw Masacre
Rocky (all of em')

Damn, there's so many great films that I could go on and on....
